Chapter 355:.
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
“Joseph.” Hayden pronounced his name unconsciously.
To his surprise, Ted clearly heard his words and immediately choked, “Who is she?”.
“If you dare to strangle her again, you won’t get a penny.” Joseph’s face darkened and his eyes looked fierce.
The trunk slowly opened on his back. There were 400 ingots in that aluminum suitcase.
Ted was puzzled. “Is it $20 million?”

“Thirty million dollars.” Joseph said a figure casually, “You can have this money right away if you let her and that boy go.”
“You’re in no position to haggle here.” Ted then grimaced, “Tell the police to back off. Put the car key here, naturally I’ll let them leave when I get to the harbor.”
Joseph frowned and looked at Andrea.
The kidnappers always had the upper hand in these kinds of negotiations.
Andrea gestured and those special soldiers with blast shields slowly backed away, leaving Joseph’s Porsche in the middle.
Clutching Hayden’s shoulder, Ted held a knife in his other hand. The three thugs behind him were dragging Benjamin. They all moved toward the Porsche cautiously.
Hayden can sense that Ted was nervous and can even see the sweat dotted on his face out of the corner of his eye. There was no way this greedy man was willing to leave them.
Then he said in a low voice. “Let Benjamin go. He had fainted and will only be a burden to you. I’ll go with you.”
“Who the hell are you?” Ted laughed, “You don’t think I know this kid is the valuable one here?”
“I…”
Hayden furrowed her eyebrows and was about to say something, but then she realized Andrea was approaching her, realized what she was doing and just shut up.
They had already headed for the trunk.
Looking at all the bullion in the trunk, these thugs looked greedy, but they also knew that if they didn’t get out of this place soon, they wouldn’t be able to enjoy all the money.
Ted ordered, “Take these two suitcases to the front seat, we’ll board the ship directly after we get to port.”
The yellow-headed thug hurried to close the suitcase. But after trying to lift them, he looked worried.”
“Boss, they’re too heavy. We need at least two people to carry them.”
Those 400 ingots weighed about 400 kilos each, one person alone wouldn’t be able to lift them.
Ted frowned and loosened his grip on Hayden’s shoulder. “That kid’s passed out and he’s easy to control. Take him to the car and get rid of this woman.”
Hayden realized why Andrea was winking at him.
Joseph had already guessed that it was inconvenient to carry two suitcases of bullion and the five of them wouldn’t be able to fit in the car, so Hayden would definitely be dumped as long as Ted didn’t discover her identity.
Hayden froze on the spot and can’t even move his legs after they left.
It would be a lie if she said she wasn’t nervous. No one could really be calm if their life was at stake.
Joseph ran forward and hugged her, “It’s okay now.”
His voice was shaking and not calm like before.
Hayden didn’t come to after a while. Clinging to Joseph’s chest, she said worriedly, “What will happen to Benjamin now?”
Joseph’s eyes darkened, “They won’t escape.”
On an abandoned road near the highway, there was a white Porsche speeding by.
Sitting in the passenger seat, Ted tried to stay calm and called out to someone, “Yeah, meet us at the port in about twenty minutes. We’re almost there.”
Just after hanging up the phone, the yellow-headed thug said anxiously, “Boss, we’re out of gas.”。
The fuel gauge was low now and the car’s speed was obviously slowing down.
The car came to a complete stop in the middle of the road after a few minutes.
Ted was furious and kicked the door violently. “Shit, they’re messing with me.”
Several black sedans had already chased them. A dozen burly men jumped out of the car and surrounded Ted’s car wielding guns.
“Stay back.”
Ted got out of the car and pulled Benjamin out of the back seat. As he strangled his throat with one of his hands, he pointed a gun at Benjamin’s temple.
“I’ll shoot him right away if you dare come near.”
“I don’t think you really will.”
Joseph’s voice was incredibly clear in the middle of nowhere. Coming out from among those muscular men, he was wearing a tight-fitting coat, looking tall and strong.
“I’ll kill him right away.”
“Go ahead.” Upright, Joseph was nonchalant, “I’ve already saved who I wanted to save. I’m not a cop, so I don’t care who you want to kill.”
“Who do you want to save?” Ted’s expression changed, “Who is that woman?”.
Joseph smiled, “She’s my fiancée.”
Hearing her reply, Ted suddenly remembered that woman shouting ‘Joseph’ when he appeared.
Sizing Joseph up for a while, Ted suddenly let out a laugh. “Are you Joseph Beckham?”
Joseph replied coldly, “You should know my way of dealing with things if you know who I am. I don’t care in the least if I can save this boy. But if he dies, my fiancée would be heartbroken and you’d be really dead.”
Ted suddenly relaxed and chuckled, “You’re really in love, huh?”
Staring at Joseph as if he wanted to find something on his face, Ted suddenly said, “Joseph, you really should let me go or you’ll fall from grace. Do you even know who I am?”
Joseph frowned imperceptibly and did not respond.
At that moment, Rebekah hurriedly got out of a car, but was dragged away by one of the bodyguards. Unable to approach them, she struggled and shouted at Joseph’s back, “Joseph, don’t listen to him. He’s a psycho.”
Seeing that Rebekah was here, Ted suddenly let out a strange and terrifying smile. Then he said, “Joseph, you’re going to love this secret, I’m your biological father.”
