Chapter 363: (END)

Hayden paused, then directed Kevin a questioning look.
“I’ve always had a feeling that Edison won’t readily agree to divorce you. I hope I’m being paranoid.” Kevin explained.
“I trust him.” Hayden said with a smile.
That’s when a car came to pick Hayden up. Kevin opened the door for him.
“Alright, hop in. Good luck to you.”
Hayden smiled back, “Thanks.”

Edison had been waiting for Hayden for a while when she arrived at the French restaurant. Edison waved to her when he saw her.
Hayden moved forward and sat down across from Edison. They caught up for a while before getting into the main topic.
“Tomorrow we’re filing for divorce. This could be our last meal together as husband and wife.” Edison began.
“What, are you sad about that?” Hayden asked.
“Something like that.” She admitted, “But divorce, you have to.”
“We’ll still eat together, as friends. Don’t worry.” Hayden said, smiling.
“It’s true. I hope you won’t forget me.”
“I won’t, for sure.”
Still wistful, Edison then added, “The divorce hearing lasts six months, as the petition is filed. If things go well, you have to be in court by then.”
“Sure.”
It was a pleasant meal. Nothing was worth an iota of doubt.
Kevin was thinking too much, Hayden speculated.
But he trusted Edison.
The next day they went to file the petition at the notary’s office. Once it was done, Hayden flew back to the country.
She could marry Joseph half a year later if all went well.
Joseph, the busy bee, went to the airport to pick Hayden up in person when his plane landed.
Seeing Joseph, Hayden had a special feeling that she couldn’t find words to describe. That feeling prompted her to run to Joseph, into the warmth of his embrace.
Joseph was surprised by her reaction, but enjoyed the intimacy with her.
“What’s wrong?” He hugged her affectionately, gently stroking her head with his hand.
“Nothing, I just felt like it had been a long time. I missed you so much.” Hayden murmured.
“I missed you too.”
Joseph drove Hayden back home.
The kids jumped out of their room when they saw Hayden back.
And suddenly, Joseph said to Noah solemnly. “Noah, you need to call Hayden mom.”
Hayden, confused, turned around to look at Joseph, “What?”.
Noah’s been calling her mom, hasn’t he?
Lowering his head, Joseph looked at Hayden, his tone serious. “Benjamin told me everything. You’re Noah’s birth mother.”
Joseph’s confession surprised Hayden.
Noah was no less surprised than Hayden. He lunged forward and clutched Joseph’s thigh, pressing. “Dad, is it true, is Mom really my mother for real?”
“So Noah is my brother?” Stella mused as she squealed.
Only Hayden was still in shock.
“Hayden, you gave me two honey-sweet children, thank you. I never would have let you go if I had known the girl was you.”
“Joseph…” Hayden was at a loss, her mouth opening and closing.
“Say no more. I’m sure about all this.”
“You’re sure?”
Joseph nodded and said. “I’ve had our DNA tested. Mine and Stella’s, yours and Noah’s. I couldn’t be more sure now.”
Hayden finally managed to take in the news. He threw himself into Joseph’s arms and began to sob. It wasn’t tears of sadness but of happiness that he was crying.
It’s great, the children belong to both of us.
And the truth of what had happened years before was finally coming out.
The news thrilled the elders even more. They gave their blessing and urged Hayden and Jospeh to marry soon.
But they had to wait for Hayden’s divorce from Edison to be consummated.
Half a year later, Hayden’s divorce petition was approved. The whole process would end with her confirmation.
Joseph was with her at the notary’s office this time. And they had Edison’s full cooperation.
After having the divorce certificate in hand, Hayden treated Edison to a meal and invited him to her wedding.
When they returned to the country, Joseph didn’t waste a second and instantly set about planning the wedding.
It would probably be the most fabulous wedding in N City.
For half a year they had been planning the wedding so they could finally celebrate this sacred moment for them.
They held a traditional Chinese wedding. With numerous protocols, the wedding was epic. Hayden’s beautifully exquisite wedding dress was sewn thread by thread by the finest dressmaker.
Stepping down from the palanquin, Hayden entered the wedding venue with a veil covering her head.
The atmosphere was cheerful. The guests were gaily dressed with curious smiles on their faces, among which spread the innocent laughter of children.
In front of their parents, Hayden and Joseph stood.
As was the ritual of a traditional wedding, they bowed to the God, to their parents and to each other as a sign of respect.
“You may bow to the God!” The host shouted.
Husband and wife are united after bowing to God, people say, and they will meet in their next life.
They will be together until the end of their lives, until the end of time.
