Chapter 1241:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Not a single soul tried to stop him.
Once he was gone, the room fell quiet until one of the senior members finally spoke.
“Sir, what should we do now?”
Survival now offered only a single route for the Axe Gang.
“We have to take a chance on this masked man and hope he doesn’t steer us wrong.”
Fighting was out of the question, leaving the Axe Gang leader with no choice but to take the risk.
He couldn’t deny the logic in what the masked man suggested. The gangs weren’t idiots—none would let the Dark Hills disrupt the balance without resistance.

Tension simmered in the darkness.
Both the Dark Hills and the Axe Gang were carrying out their own plans. Years of silence in Delley teetered on the edge, the old power structure about to crack.
“Who could have imagined you were this clever? You not only helped clear the path to the Axe Gang for me, but also crafted a plan to make these gangs turn on each other.”
Boynton had completed the task Maren had assigned and came to find her in a café. He removed his mask and sat across from her.
The Axe Gang would never realize the masked man was actually Boynton—their most dangerous enemy from the army.
“After tonight, chaos will ripple through every gang in Delley. Let things unravel. Don’t act until they turn on one another. When exhaustion sets in, you’ll have the chance to wipe them out for good,” Maren said calmly.
“Understood. Your strategy couldn’t be more perfect. It achieves everything I’ve dreamed of. Still, there’s something more urgent on my mind right now.” Boynton should have felt triumphant, but an unexpected frustration gnawed at him as he studied Maren, who was always so composed and in control.
“What is it?” A flicker of curiosity crossed Maren’s face. “What could possibly outrank destroying the local gangs?”
“Gangs are ruthless, no doubt, but there are things out there that send an even deeper chill down my spine. Right now, what haunts me most is you. Who are you, really? Don’t try to dance around it. I want answers.” Boynton’s gaze turned sharp as he scrutinized Maren. Delley’s gangs had always inspired fear, but all of that was crumbling, all because someone even more terrifying had appeared.
“Are you serious? The Axe Gang wants to bend the knee and surrender to us?” Inside the Dark Hills headquarters, Mason sat at the center of a high-stakes negotiation, planning with other gangs how to split the resources once the Axe Gang fell.
Given the sheer number of gangs, finishing off the Axe Gang, now stripped of more than a dozen territories, seemed almost trivial.
Everyone at the table had agreed they’d split the gains evenly, expanding their empires side by side.
