Chapter 1245:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Together, the father and son began organizing how the spoils would be shared among the gangs.
“Walt, just a second!”
While the other gangs were waiting for the map, someone suddenly spoke up. Mason, Orlando, and the others turned to see who had spoken—the Axe Gang member.
“Is there something you need to say?”
Because the Axe Gang had surrendered to them, Mason’s response carried a hint of friendliness.
“I forgot to mention something, Mr. Rhodes. Our boss hopes the Axe Gang will remain intact. We only surrender to the Dark Hills, and we don’t want to join the other gangs.”
The Axe Gang member was shrewd, flattering the Dark Hills while preventing them from dividing the spoils with other gangs. If things stayed civil, their whole plot would fall apart.
Chaos needed to be stirred among the gangs.
“What did you just say? You’ve lost over ten territories, yet you’re still swaggering around? Are you trying to insult us?” Those words sparked outrage from the other gangs.
They saw the Axe Gang showing deference only to the Dark Hills, as if no one else in the room even mattered. Did the Axe Gang really think the rest of them were no match for the Dark Hills?

But the Axe Gang member had an answer ready.
“Our leader believes in following the strongest, and everyone knows the Dark Hills dominates Delley now. Naturally, we want to throw our lot in with the top dog.”
“You…” The word hung in the air, rattling the confidence of the gang leaders.
None of them dared to voice a protest.
It was clear that the Axe Gang member was not telling any lies.
The Dark Hills had seized more than ten territories from the Axe Gang alone, and Maren had managed to win several territories from the other gangs during the Underground Fighter Combat.
The Dark Hills’ power was indisputable, no matter how much the other gangs tried to deny it.
Though surrendering to the dominant force was logical, the move left a bitter taste, fueling resentment among the other gangs.
Mason and Orlando, on the other hand, found plenty of reason to be satisfied. Their eyes met, and a flicker of anticipation passed between them. They both recognized the Axe Gang’s cooperation as a boon.
However, not everything about the current situation favored them.
“I see that the Axe Gang stands loyal to the Dark Hills, but we’ll have to share a portion of resources with the other gangs, given what’s happening right now. I trust the Axe Gang will understand the need for some compromise.” Mason attempted to sway the Axe Gang. “You have my word—the Dark Hills will never forget what you’ve done for us.”
