Chapter 1250:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
A spark of admiration lit up Boynton’s face. In his eyes, Maren’s brilliance was unmatched.
That kind of outcome would set the perfect stage—word of the attack would spread, and by tomorrow, the other gangs would be gunning for the Dark Hills. Once the Dark Hills was wiped out, the other gangs would undoubtedly start fighting over the territories and resources.
A storm of bloodshed and betrayal was brewing in Delley, and it was just getting started.
“Got it. I’ll handle it right now.” Boynton didn’t waste another second and rushed off to carry out Maren’s plan.
“You think the Dark Hills sent us away on purpose? Like they’ve already figured out how to deal with us?”
The gang leaders strolled side by side after leaving the Dark Hills headquarters. Rather than heading off in different directions, they chose to stay together and sort out their next moves.
On most days, they barely tolerated each other. But today was different. They were united by a single objective—forcing the Dark Hills to cough up part of the Axe Gang’s territories and resources.
“That wouldn’t surprise me. Mason’s not exactly known for being generous. And you all saw how his son behaved earlier—they clearly plan to keep everything for themselves,” one of them said, responding to the earlier suspicion.
If any one of them had been in Mason’s place, they knew they wouldn’t be handing over the Axe Gang’s territories either. That exact thought was what made them uneasy.
Their concern wasn’t baseless—there was always the chance the Dark Hills had something planned to get rid of them quietly.

“We probably shouldn’t have all walked out. We should’ve left a few guys behind to keep tabs on things,” one of them muttered.
“No need to overthink it. If the Dark Hills really dares to cut us out, we’ll storm in with our men and burn the place down. Mason’s bold, but he’s not stupid enough to fight all of us.”
One of them took a more laid-back approach, convinced the Dark Hills wouldn’t risk pulling anything bold. His argument made enough sense to calm the others down.
“No sense stressing over it. Let’s call it a day and head back. We’ll gather again tomorrow as planned. I’m sure that even if the Dark Hills want to play dirty, they won’t risk it with this many of us watching their every move.”
“Exactly. If the Dark Hills tries to cross us, then we’ll show them no mercy—Mason included. He’ll answer for it.”
Rather than waste more breath on guesses, the group figured it was better to wait and see how things played out the next day.
They agreed to part ways and head off in different directions.
But before they could move, a figure in a mask stepped into view. It was none other than Boynton.
