Chapter 1690: (END)
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Lennon couldn’t take the pressure anymore. In the end, he jumped to his death. His wife, completely heartbroken, took her own life not long after.
They had only one child—a baby boy—but even he was taken away by Lilian not long after he was born. And just like that, Lennon’s company was swallowed up by Nexogenix without a fight.
Back then, Coulson probably thought he’d scored a great deal.
But who could’ve seen this coming? Lennon… was his real father.
No wonder Coulson broke down so badly in that moment. No wonder his brain gave out right then and there.
The door creaked open, and Alina walked quietly into the room. She came to Coulson’s bedside and gently wiped the sweat from his face.
She spoke softly, her voice trembling. “Coulson, no matter how others treat you, I’ll never leave. I’ll always be here with you.”
Coulson couldn’t move much anymore, but his eyes still said everything. Slowly, he shifted his gaze toward Alina, giving her a look that quietly told her to go.
Alina broke down in tears. “Why? I’m willing to stay and take care of you. So why are you still trying to push me away?”
Coulson watched the tears roll down her cheeks. His heart ached to comfort her, to reach out and wipe them away—but he couldn’t. He didn’t have the strength.
Only now did it truly hit him—Alina had always been there for him. She never left.
But he had realized it too late.
When Yelena came home, everyone soon found out she was pregnant. Right away, the families started getting ready for the wedding.
They didn’t want anyone to know she was expecting before marriage, so they rushed to arrange the wedding before her pregnancy started to show. The decision came quickly, but the planning hadn’t been careless. In fact, they’d already started preparing long before she returned.
The venue looked beautiful. Every detail was carefully set up. Bernice even came up with a fun idea—to hold a raffle for Yelena’s fans and invite the lucky winners to be part of the celebration.

A hundred fans were chosen to attend the wedding and share in Yelena’s joy. Everyone was thrilled—not just because Yelena had come back safely, but because they also got to witness her big day.
One thing that made Yelena’s wedding different from the rest was how many bridesmaids she had. Along with her nine teammates from the talent show, her bridal party also included Tessa, Erica, Lyla, and several others.
“Thirsty? Here, have some water,” Cayson handed Hannah a thermos.
Yelena raised her eyebrows and grinned. “Cayson, since when did you and Hannah get this close?”
Hannah looked a little shy. She gave Cayson a gentle nudge. “You tell her.”
He laughed. “Alright, alright, I’ll tell her.” He paused for a moment, but then smirked. “Actually… it’s a secret!”
“Seriously, Cayson? You’re not even going to tell me?” Yelena pouted, pretending to be upset.
Cayson and Hannah shared a glance, and then both burst into laughter.
It was something just between the two of them.
Soon after, Yelena changed into the wedding dress Austin had designed just for her. She stepped gracefully to the church entrance, ready to walk down the aisle. All the lights turned toward her, and every eye in the room followed her. She looked stunning—like the most beautiful bride in the world.
Callum gently took her hand and walked her down the aisle, step by step, leading her toward Austin.
As they walked together, Callum suddenly began to cry. He quickly turned his head, wiping his tears before anyone could see. But Yelena noticed, and tears quietly filled her eyes too.
Seeing her like that, Callum tried to stay strong. “Hey, today’s a happy day. We should be smiling, right? Come on. Give me a smile!”
“Okay,” she said softly.
But their smiles trembled, and it was clear they were both on the verge of breaking down.
At last, they reached Austin. Callum gently placed Yelena’s hand into Austin’s. So many things rushed through his heart, but all he could manage to say was, “Take good care of my daughter.”
Austin held her hand firmly and looked him in the eye. “I will,” he said.
Callum nodded and stepped aside. The two of them turned to face the priest. The priest turned to Austin. “Mr. Barton, whether in good times or bad, in sickness or in health—will you stand by Miss Roberts’ side, love her, care for her, and trust her for the rest of your life?”
Austin looked at Yelena, his eyes full of warmth. “I will.”
Then the priest turned to Yelena and asked the same question. She met Austin’s eyes and, without hesitation, answered, “I will.”
The priest smiled. “Best wishes to the new couple.”
Austin and Yelena exchanged rings. He leaned in and kissed her forehead gently. “The priest forgot to say one thing—I’ll love you forever. In this life, and in every life after, I want to be with you.”
Yelena smiled through her tears. “Me too.”
