Chapter 1381:

Brenna said, “Are you sure you should be adding more to your plate right now? After all, you are pregnant. If you’d rather not, you could just recommend some trustworthy designers for me instead. Honestly, I’m worried Thiago might think I’m forcing you to work.”
None of that seemed to bother Ellie. “I promise it’s not a problem. There’s still more than two months until my due date, and staying at home all day gets boring after a while. I might as well keep myself busy. Don’t worry about me, Brenna. I just need to do the sketches and pick the fabrics. My assistant and the rest of my design team will take over the sewing part.”
Brenna grinned. “Alright. Next time we meet, I’ll treat you to a meal.”
A gentle laugh escaped Ellie. “Come on, that’s not necessary. We’re as close as sisters; there’s no need for you to do that.”
She kept chatting with Brenna while rubbing stretch mark cream on her stomach, angling the camera to show her bump. “Check this out, the stretch marks are getting noticeable already. If I go for another baby after this, my belly won’t even look the same. What if Thiago dislikes me for this?”
At that moment, Thiago took the cream from her hand and said, “You know I never said anything like that.” After speaking, he began to massage her belly carefully himself, applying the cream.
Brenna said, “There must be a way to prevent those. I’ll ask around for some tips tomorrow.”
Ellie’s lips curved into a small smile. “I’ve already done my research. Things like prenatal yoga, using this cream, and some light workouts can really help with stretch marks.”
Their conversation shifted as Brenna launched into her complaints about Elsa’s behavior.
Thiago quietly continued to focus on attending to Ellie, making sure she was comfortable.

It was hard for Brenna not to tease Thiago when his face showed up on the video call. “You know, guys like you are rare. You are an exceptional husband.”
A quiet chuckle escaped Thiago. “That’s right. I’m rich, handsome, and good to my wife, I’m…”
“The best husband in the world.” Brenna couldn’t help but snort. “Don’t get too smug.”
When morning came, Brenna made her way over to Ellie’s shop. She picked out a couple of off-the-rack pieces that matched Elsa’s preferred style, deciding a thoughtful gift was better than stressing over custom designs. Ellie only asked for half the normal price, which Brenna gladly paid.
“I will give these to Elsa as her birthday gifts,” Brenna said, feeling satisfied with her choices.
Just then, her phone started to buzz. Rosanna’s name popped up on the screen. Brenna answered the call. “Hey, Rosanna.”
Rosanna cut straight to the chase. “What brand was the outfit you bought for Elsa last time? She didn’t like the one I got, so I figured I’d try the same brand you bought for her before.”
