Chapter 1389:

Rosanna drew in a breath. “Alright. I’ll go speak with her about that.”
.
Brenna had spent two months in Plieca on a business trip, timing her return to align with Ellie’s due date. As soon as her plane touched down, she received Ellie’s call.
“Brenna, my belly—the pain is unbearable!” Ellie’s voice trembled over the line. “It wasn’t this intense when I gave birth to Patrick.”
Brenna’s concern spiked. “Is Thiago by your side? Are your parents with you?”
“Everyone’s here, but it hurts so much! They’re setting up an epidural.”
By the time Brenna reached the hospital, Ellie had already delivered.
Thiago was cradling his son, his face radiant with joy.
“Congratulations,” Brenna said, gently pinching the baby’s soft cheek.
Patrick tugged at Thiago’s sleeve. “Dad, let me see him again! I haven’t had my—”
Thiago gazed fondly at the infant in his arms. “I was hoping for a girl.”
Patrick, peering at his new brother, spoke up. “Why don’t you let Mom have another child?”
Ellie, propped up in her hospital bed, shot her son an exasperated glance. “What are you going on about? Two kids aren’t enough? How many do you expect me to pop out? You think it’s as easy as snapping your fingers?”
Tori swept in, carrying a steaming pot of chicken soup. “I’m so proud of my daughter—another beautiful life brought into this world by her.”
Thiago, brimming with joy, set his son down and took the pot from Tori, ladling soup for Ellie with care.
He then turned to Brenna. “Can you oversee the company for a while? I need to focus on my wife.”

Brenna gave a soft nod. “Sure. I just got back from Plieca. I was hoping for a few days to rest. But now, I don’t think I can do that.”
“Thank you so much,” Thiago said.
Once Brenna confirmed Ellie and the baby were safe, she headed to the company.
On the way, Lorna picked up lunch for her.
Brenna had taken Lorna and Tommy along to Plieca, orchestrating the transfer of nine companies from Rosie’s name to her own. She’d installed reliable managers to run them.
The companies were thriving and on an upward trajectory, and Brenna intended to steward their growth with care.
Rosie’s character might have been questionable, but her sharp business sense was beyond dispute. Her empire stretched across high-tech industries, precision engineering, chip fabrication, mechanical processing, and even high-stakes financial investments.
