Chapter 2125:

Sonia immediately became alert, while Lexi clutched a cushion tightly to her chest, her fear escalating.
“What should we do now?” Lexi asked, her voice trembling. “Can I go back to my house? Will Alexandra send someone to kidnap me?”
“It’s possible,” Brandon replied, his tone casual.
Lexi’s nerves were fraying even more. “Then I won’t go back to my house. Maybe I should hide in my hometown for a few days.”
“No,” Sonia responded firmly, shaking her head to dismiss the idea.
“Why? Should I just stay here and be killed by Alexandra?” Lexi’s voice quivered as she searched for a reason.
Sonia looked at her gravely. “Alexandra is ruthless. If she truly wants to kidnap you, leaving Barnes won’t help. You should stay here for now.”
“But…” Lexi began, only to be cut off by Sonia.
“Mr. Larson has significant influence here in Barnes. If you are kidnapped, he can have his people rescue you immediately.”
Both Sonia and Lexi then turned their gaze to Brandon. Brandon kept his usual detached demeanor, offering no hint of his thoughts, which only added to Lexi’s anxiety.
“I’m so scared. Who can save me?” Lexi murmured, nearly in tears, shrinking into the corner like an abandoned cat.
“It’s okay. Don’t be afraid,” Brandon finally broke the silence, attempting to reassure her. “You can stay in Janet’s studio for the time being, or I can arrange for you to stay at the best hotel.”
“Is it safe?” Lexi wiped her tears and tried to read Brandon’s expression through her sobs. “Sonia said Alexandra is ruthless and cunning. I’m afraid she might break into these places and catch me.”

“No matter what, you protected Janet and angered Alexandra. I will do everything I can to keep you safe,” Brandon promised.
Comforted by his words, Lexi nodded vigorously, her gratitude shining through.
“You should go to the hotel with Lexi. You’re more at risk as a betrayer,” Brandon then said to Sonia, turning to face her.
With a serious look, Brandon spoke.
“That’s right. Let’s go there together,” Lexi chimed in, eager for the safety in numbers.
However, Sonia shook her head and declined. “Mr. Larson, thank you for your kindness, but I can’t.”
“Why?” Brandon frowned, clearly puzzled by Sonia’s refusal.
With a firm smile, Sonia explained, “I’ve brought my mother back to my apartment. She’s waiting for me there. I can’t leave her alone.”
To Sonia, Mona was paramount; her safety outweighed even her own when under threat.
“You could bring Mona to the hotel for a temporary stay, or even to my villa,” Brandon suggested. “I’ll inform Janet of your situation once she’s discharged from the hospital.”
Sonia considered this thoughtfully for a moment, recognizing the merit in his proposal. Yet, she ultimately shook her head again.
“Forget it. While my mother is generally better, she still has moments of confusion. I’m worried she might become agitated and scare Janet.” Sonia sighed deeply.
“Since you’re set on this, I won’t press you,” Brandon conceded, respecting her decision. “Please, contact me immediately if you run into any trouble.”
“Okay,” Sonia responded, this time with a relieved smile. Once everything was settled, Brandon signaled for them to leave.
