Chapter 912: (END)
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Sanford threw aside the hospital blanket immediately after hearing that. He swung his legs over the side of the bed and moved to stand, only to feel the tug of the IV fixed to his hand. Without hesitation, he tore the needle free.
Blood seeped from the needle mark, yet he gave no sign of noticing it as he headed toward the exit.
Claudia gasped, startled by the suddenness of his action. She rushed forward and stood in his path to stop him. “You are in no condition to leave. This is dangerous. If something happens to you—”
“Get out of my way!”
If Sanford’s earlier tone had held distance, it now carried unfiltered contempt. Claudia flinched at the venom in his voice. Her chest tightened, and tears gathered despite her efforts to keep them at bay. He had no right to talk to her like this.
“Our relationship was arranged by your mother and my family. How can you treat me like this—”
“I never agreed to it. My wife will only be Carlee; I won’t accept anyone else.”
Sanford brushed past her, the force sending her stumbling backward. Claudia collapsed onto the bed, her complexion drained of color.
Just as Sanford reached the doorway, Kole stepped into his path.

Sanford’s voice dropped dangerously. “Are you also planning to stop me?”
Facing Sanford’s ice-cold gaze, Kole shook his head quickly. “No. I only want to inform you that Miss Larson just arrived at the airport.”
He could not disobey Paulina, yet he fully understood the depth of Sanford’s love for Carlee, having heard her name whispered repeatedly through the man’s fevered state the night before. That was why, after Carlee stormed out, he discreetly arranged for someone to monitor her, worried she might get into trouble.
Without further delay, Kole drove Sanford to the airport.
The journey usually exceeded forty minutes, but Kole pressed the car to its limit and covered the distance in just under thirty.
The instant the vehicle slowed near the airport’s entrance, Sanford flung the back door open, stepping out before the tires fully stopped.
Kole quickly turned off the ignition and rushed after him.
One of the bodyguards stationed at the entrance spotted Sanford immediately and approached him. Sanford’s voice cut sharply through the air. “Where is she?”
“Miss Larson purchased a return ticket to Kretol and is currently proceeding through the security checkpoint.”
