Chapter 899:

Then delicious smells wafted from the kitchen and Caden was pleasantly surprised. He hadn’t expected Alicia to prepare breakfast.
With a spring in his step, Caden jumped into the shower. As he glanced at his reflection, he admired his toned physique and defined abs. Also, the size of his hardness was huge. He knew his body would attract Alicia’s attention, so he simply wrapped a towel around himself. He made sure the towel draped loosely around him, subtly showing off his “V-line. ”
Noticing movement in the kitchen, Caden poured himself a glass of water and walked over, acting nonchalant. “What’s for breakfast?”
Caden was stunned when the person turned around.
Startled, Caden quickly grabbed a nearby coat, his initial erection fading.
The maid nodded toward the hallway behind him. “Ms. Bennett has been in the study all morning.”
As Caden turned, he noticed Alicia casually leaning against the study door, her eyes playfully scanning his bare, muscular calves.
“What kind of style is that, Mr. Ward? So hot! Seems like you’ve lost your pants,” Alicia teased.

Caden’s expression darkened at her comment. The maid suppressed a chuckle. Being the regular maid here, she was familiar with both Caden and Alicia. She could tell Caden had mistaken her for Alicia just now.
After returning to his room to dress properly, Caden entered the study and closed the door behind him. “I thought you were in the kitchen just now,” he explained. The kitchen’s tainted glass door had blocked his view, and he had seen only gray shadows on the wall, not looking closely.
Pausing her work, Alicia looked up at Caden, her eyes twinkling with amusement. “I’m slightly disappointed. I was hoping the maid would compliment your amazing shape.”
Caden grew even more irritated. “You saw me walking over, didn’t you?”
“Yes.”
“And you didn’t think to stop me?”
“Why would I?” Alicia responded, feigning innocence. “You were just going to say hello, right?”
Caden exhaled heavily. “Nobody greets a maid while barely covered with a towel.”
He was convinced she had figured out he was trying to flirt with her. Indeed, Alicia knew his intentions, but she wasn’t about to admit it.
“Who’s to say?” she replied with a shrug. “I wouldn’t be surprised if you were the one greeting a maid with a loose towel.”
Caden fell silent. He meticulously fastened every button on his shirt before shifting the topic. “Did I get wasted last night?”
He recalled having just one drink, yet he felt utterly destroyed.
