Chapter 1175:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
As long as she was safe, nothing else mattered.
Gracie gently took the bowl from Charlie and began feeding Brayden herself. “Conroy killed Gilmore,” she told him softly. “The overseas threat is gone now.”
“I know,” Brayden replied. “Charlie already filled me in after I woke up.” His gaze settled on her seriously. “You handled everything really well while I was unconscious. Jessie has also been rescued, but I think you should visit her.”
He paused briefly. He was already out of danger. He just needed time to recover.

Gracie parted her lips slightly, clearly unwilling to leave him.
Brayden awkwardly lifted his bandaged hand and gently touched her hair. “I’m alright now. I have a feeling Jessie wants to talk to you. The overseas situation is over, but Eaton still hasn’t been dealt with. Right now, Jessie probably needs you more.”
Gracie understood that. Still, after nearly losing him, she couldn’t bring herself to walk away so easily.
“You nearly died,” she whispered. “Can’t you stop thinking about me for once and care more about yourself?”
Brayden laughed softly. “I understand.” His eyes softened. “Then let me make one selfish request instead. After you visit Jessie, come back tonight and have dinner with me here.”
Gracie could not help laughing through her tears.
Such a tiny request. Coming from him, it somehow felt precious.
She slowly stood up. “Alright. I’ll come back soon.”
After she left, Brayden turned toward Charlie. “Gracie’s close to giving birth,” he said quietly. “Don’t tell her anything more about Eaton from now on. Even if I can’t move much yet, I’ll deal with the rest myself.”
Charlie nodded. “But Eaton’s obsession with resurrecting Theo has become extreme. Even if the reagent Mrs. Stanley handed over was fake, I doubt he’ll stop.”
“Then let him continue,” Brayden replied coldly, his eyes turning icy.
By then, Gracie had already arrived at the suburban villa.
Before leaving the hospital, she had contacted Conroy, who informed the guards in advance.
A bodyguard quickly approached her respectfully. “Mrs. Stanley, this way.”
Inside the villa, Jessie sat quietly on the sofa eating lunch.
The moment Gracie saw her, she hurried over while supporting her stomach. “Are you alright?” she asked anxiously. “I’m sorry for everything you went through.”
Jessie immediately set her utensils down and shook her head gently. “I’m okay. He never hurt me.” Guilt filled her expression. “I’m sorry for dragging everyone into this. My brother’s true target was me all along. Everything he did… It was all for Theo’s resurrection.”
“Theo?” Gracie’s eyebrows drew together. She couldn’t understand why Eaton would go to such lengths for Theo. “He already knows exactly who Theo is. Why would he still go this far for him?”
Jessie gave a small shake of her head, equally puzzled.
No one could make sense of Eaton’s actions.
He had stayed quiet for months, only to suddenly make his move and catch everyone completely unprepared.
“I’m okay, but what about you…” Gracie asked. “Are you really alright? He’s still your brother.”
