Chapter 869:.
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
The woman’s words were accompanied by a hint of provocation.
It turns out that, at the same time, she was poking at Benjamin’s weak spot. In the case of being infertile, women would feel like failures, while men would feel ashamed as if being infertile meant they were also weak in bed.
Benjamin’s expression darkened.
“I’m going to the bathroom.” The woman stood up with a smile and walked away on her high heels, which clacked against the marble floor.
Boyce and one of his subordinates followed her from behind and ambushed outside the sink. When the woman emerged, they covered her mouth and dragged her away.
They managed to avoid the crowd and get her into the car shortly thereafter.
“Who are you… oh, it’s you.” The woman scolded under her breath. She saw Boyce’s face before he finished speaking and knew who he was. She knew he was on Matthew’s side.
The woman was quick to grasp the situation and laughed, “It’s no use holding me captive. I don’t know where Benjamin hid the child either.” She blamed Benjamin. All of it.
“I’m just a woman who doesn’t know anything. You’d better set me free.” After learning of his intention to capture her, she managed to calm down. After all, Joshua was in their hands. These people wouldn’t dare hurt her.
Boyce ignored her and asked his man to drive faster.
A moment later, they arrived at an abandoned building. When the car stopped, they pulled the woman out of it. Since the road was uneven and littered with construction trash, it made the woman wobble a bit. She looked up and looked at the man dragging her, “Are you looking for death?”.
She was a fighter.
Boyce blocked the woman’s line of sight and threatened her in a gravelly voice, “I’ll let you get out of this place no problem if you tell us Joshua’s whereabouts now, otherwise…”

“I told you I don’t know anything.” She emphasized each word.
“Well, then you’re worthless if you don’t know anything.” Boyce gave his subordinate a look, “Bring her in.”
His subordinate held the woman’s arms tightly and pushed her into the building.
“Let me go! It’s illegal to arrest me without a warrant!” she shouted.
Boyce held her chin so tightly that she couldn’t make a sound, “Scream later. You have all the time in the world to do it.”
The woman was quickly carried to the highest floor. Then she was thrown to the ground.
Matthew and Abbott were already there, standing on the edge of the floor. When they heard voices approaching, they turned their heads slowly to see their source.
Boyce approached Matthew and told him everything he had heard while spying on the woman, “It’s mostly this woman’s thing to add fuel to the fire.”
“That makes sense. She’d only be hunting death if she decided to come after us now and cause chaos after having lived in peace for decades, wouldn’t she? And of course, someone else was there to provoke it.” Abbott snorted coldly.
Matthew looked at the woman and asked quietly, “Where’s my son?”
The woman snorted in return, “That I don’t know, but I do know that Benjamin will avenge me if any of you harm me today.”
She was not at all afraid of them for the sake of holding someone important hostage.
Boyce squatted down in front of her, “Benjamin just craves your gaze, what if I destroy that gaze that he loves so much?”
That made the woman’s eyes widen in an instant. She needed her looks and her curves to catch a man’s heart. Without that, she would be nothing. Finally, there was a hint of fear in her eyes, “You! Don’t you dare do that to me! Touch me once and I’ll do the same to that boy.”
Boyce narrowed his eyes at her, not daring to act rashly at the moment. As long as Joshua was a hostage, he would always be her weakness. They wouldn’t be able to do anything on a whim.
“What do you want, money? Give us a figure.” Abbott walked over and looked at the woman, “Benjamin is old, and there’s a limit to what he can give you. It’s not money you’re looking for? Just tell us how much you want.”
The woman sank into deep thought. She knew they had their concerns.
“You are right. I do want money. But I also want something else, can you give it to me?”. The woman smiled, fixing her gaze on Matthew, who was standing not far away, “I can tell you where your son is as long as you offer me something attractive enough.”
“What do you want?” Matthew’s expression was grim, mixed with a trace of imperceptible cruelty.
The woman shifted slightly, “Untie the rope first. We can’t make a fair deal like this.”
Boyce and Abbott gave Matthew a look. It was a look to ask his opinion.
“There’s a lot of them here. Couldn’t get away, could you?” The woman sneered.
“Untie the rope,” Matthew ordered.
Boyce did as Matthew asked and untied the woman. She picked herself up off the floor, patted the dust on her dress before fixing her gaze on Matthew again. Now she was spinning him around. Matthew was a tall man, with a stocky build and sharp features. He exuded a cool, yet commanding aura that others could sense strongly, even if he was standing casually.
He was a man who could make women go crazy for him.
In her heels, she approached Matthew and finally stood in front of him, “Benjamin promised to make me president of the WY Group when he took over the company. He offered me wealth and power – what can you offer me that I would turn my back on him?”
The woman looked Matthew up and down openly.
It was the kind of look Matthew hated the most.
“Actually, I don’t need those things.” Saying this, she put her hand on Matthew’s shoulder and whispered in his ear, “How about you spend the night with me? I’ll tell you where your son is later.”
