Seeing her condition, Benjamin said, “She’s fine, but we have to be cautious in case Matthew finds out…”

“He won’t, we’ll be very careful.” The woman simply wanted to vent her anger at this point.

They went out the back door and checked their surroundings before getting into the car. Abbott’s men were watching from behind some trees.

They followed Benjamin’s car and drove further and further away. Finally they stopped in front of a nursing home.

Benjamin got out of the car and the woman followed him. She looked anxious and cheerful as she said, “They would never find out that we are hiding the baby in a hospice.”

Benjamin looked around and then said cautiously, “We’d better be more careful. Come on.”

The woman nodded and entered the hospice through the back door. The men who came with them followed them into the hospice, but the woman instructed them to secure the entrance while she and Benjamin entered the room.

It was a square room with a bed on one side. A middle-aged woman was sitting next to the bed carrying the baby.

“Leave the child and go.” said Benjamin.

The middle-aged woman gently placed the baby on the floor and said, “The baby was crying all night and just fell asleep.”

The woman felt frustrated and said, “Leave the baby and go away!”.

The baby was very cute and the middle-aged woman began to get attached to him. Although she had been paid to do so, she was curious as to why they had the baby here.

However, she didn’t dare ask and placed a blanket over Joshua before leaving.

The woman approached the bed and noticed that Joshua looked a lot like Dolores. She began to feel anger inside her. She was a woman like Dolores, why did she have to serve this old man while Dolores could marry such a good man and give birth to this adorable baby? She began to feel overwhelmed with hatred.

She pulled off the blanket covering Joshua, which frightened him and he began to cry.

“Go ahead and cry until your parents hear you. I’m sure they’ll be heartbroken when they hear your screams.” The woman pulled out her phone and recorded a video of Joshua crying. She would show it to Matthew at the appropriate time. She wanted Matthew to know that the baby was suffering because he was torturing her.

She put the phone away and stoked Joshua’s face as she said, “How lucky you are to have been born into a rich family.”

He sneered as his eyes betrayed his vileness, “What a shame to end up in my hands.”

Then, he pinched Joshua’s nose and shouted, “Don’t cry!”. Joshua’s face began to turn red from shortness of breath.

“Hahaha…” The woman shrieked, “You will pay for everything I suffered today. You can hate your parents for that!”

Bang!

The door was kicked in!

The men Benjamin left to guard the door were all on the floor and a team of men rushed into the room.

“You…” Benjamin demanded, but then he immediately realized who had entered and turned pale.

Before the woman could react, she simply heard a “how dare you” and felt her entire body being thrown and pushed to the floor. He winced in pain, began to see a tall figure approaching and began to realize what had happened as his heart began to sink into the abyss.

After releasing his nose, Joshua wailed loudly, “Waah…”

Matthew quickly scooped Joshua up in his arms. Joshua was still crying uncontrollably and his eyes were slightly puffy perhaps from crying.

His little body began to shudder along with the cries.

“Is Joshua okay?” asked Boyce as he approached.

Matthew pressed his lips tightly together and you could see in his eyes that he was heartbroken. He gently wiped the tears from the baby’s face and said softly, “You know what to do.”

Boyce replied, “Leave it to me, I’ll fix it.”

Matthew carried Joshua and left. He turned to look at Benjamin before leaving.

“What do you plan to do?” Benjamin pretended to be calm.

“You were the one who kidnapped and extorted. Now you’re asking me what I plan to do? Shouldn’t I be asking you?” said Matthew coolly.

“We share the same bloodline,” Benjamin shouted, trying to sound brave but he knew he was in big trouble.

Matthew sneered, “Did you remember this when you kidnapped my son?” Benjamin clenched his fists but frowned deeply and stood still.

“How did this happen?” the woman was puzzled. She couldn’t understand how Matthew had found her location.

Abbott walked over to her and stroked her bandaged face. The woman winced.

“What a fool. Since we had already caught you, you think we were going to let you go so easily? Aren’t you curious how you were so easily rescued?”

The woman glared with hatred and cried, “Did they trick me? Did they intentionally let me be rescued?”

Abbott scoffed and didn’t bother to answer. Of course, that was what they did. It didn’t hurt her too much so she could keep moving. He did all this to arouse her hatred so that she would act rashly. When she acted in haste, she let her guard down and became careless.

They took advantage of this.

Matthew had planned this from the moment she left the top floor. First he sent the message to Abbott to let him torture this woman. However, he was not to overdo it and was to keep her alive.

Then, he intentionally leaked the woman’s whereabouts so that Benjamin would find out and come to her rescue. Eventually, Boyce was instructed to get Abbott away, and thereafter the plan was communicated to Boyce.
