Chapter 204:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
The moment Allison left his room, Ryan stood up and kicked the coffee table. The bottle of wine and the glass shattered on the floor, spilling their contents. The door swung open, and Max hurried into the room, followed by Ryan’s other friends.
“We heard a loud noise as we were coming to talk to you,” Max started, his gaze falling on the broken table.
“What happened here?” Colin asked, approaching Ryan cautiously. Vernon glanced at Ryan, noting his angry expression, while Owen closed the door behind him and turned to Ryan.
“Are you okay, man?” Owen asked.
“Rejection. Now she wants rejection from me,” Ryan replied, punching the wall beside him. His friends rushed to restrain him.
“Ryan, calm down,” Vernon urged.
“How could she ask for that? How?” Ryan’s anger boiled over, unable to contain his frustration.
“Why would she say that? There must be a reason.
She seemed fine last night. In fact, she was happy,” Max said, his confusion evident.
“I was drunk last night and said things I didn’t mean. When she confronted me about it today, I just dismissed it as drunken nonsense,” Ryan explained bitterly.
His friends were taken aback by his admission. Ryan proceeded to explain everything he had said to Allison.
He looked at them defiantly and demanded, “What? I spoke the truth. I have nothing for her. I don’t love her.
She needs to accept that.”
His friends exchanged uneasy glances, unsure how to respond. Ryan’s tone grew sharper.
“Get out. You’re only making me angrier,” he snapped, pointing towards the door.
It was Gamma Colin who spoke first, “Ryan, stop deceiving yourself. Your anger was understandable until last night, but you’ve crossed a line today. Why do you keep lying to yourself? You know you love her.”

“No, I don’t,” Ryan shook his head.
“Bro, you messed up big time. Allison was trying to make things right. Teresa told me she confessed everything to her.
She told her she’d do anything for you, that she wanted your forgiveness because she knew she was wrong.” Ryan clenched his fists and turned away from his friends.
Max looked at his best friend earnestly, “She was hurting too, Ryan.
She wasn’t happy either. We stood by you because we believed in your love, even after she betrayed you. But now that you know everything, you owe her a second chance. You already announced the wedding. How can you tell her she can’t expect forgiveness? You’re not just lying to her, you’re lying to yourself. You broke her heart today. In the end, you’re the one who hurt her.”
Ryan turned away from his friends and muttered, “I don’t care about her.”
“Then reject her,” Colin urged. The other three men looked at him in agreement.
Colin nodded at them, signaling them to trust him. Ryan glared at him, “Why should I reject her? She’s my mate.”
“You fell for her without knowing she was your mate. You fell for your brother’s mate and tried to stay away from her. You only found out about the mate-bond later, after Ethan rejected her. You never hurt her when she started dating Ethan after the rejection. You never told her about being her fated mate because you wanted her love. When she broke up with you, you were with Elora, but you never touched her, or any other girls. The man we knew, who was full of desire, actually restrained himself and suffered heartbreak because of her. Why? Because he wanted that woman’s love,” Colin reminded him of the past, Ryan clenched his jaw as he recalled those days.
“But what’s he doing now? Now that he finally knows she loves him, he’s pushing her away. Why? Just because he can’t forget the pain of the past two years?”
When they saw Ryan’s silence, they also fell silent for a moment. Vernon handed a cigarette to Ryan.
“Bro, you need this right now. Just take a few puffs and relax. Nothing is irreparable yet. You can set things right if you want.” Ryan took the cigarette and placed it between his lips. Vernon lit it for him, and Ryan inhaled the smoke, attempting to calm his mind, which was in turmoil. Max walked over and placed his hand on Ryan’s shoulder.
“Are two years of pain greater than your feelings for her? Isn’t she the only person you truly care about? Remember how you felt when she was with someone else? You wanted her for yourself. You made promises of love to her. Maybe she lost her way due to her parents, but now it’s your chance to prove that your love was genuine and enduring. You can’t just let her slip away like this.”
“Tsk!” Ryan rubbed his forehead, his thoughts spinning with each passing second. All this time, he had planned to win Allison back and show her the pain she had caused him. But her words today had left him with a strange feeling. He was furious that she would even consider leaving him again.
“Admit that you still love her. Your feelings for her haven’t disappeared; you’re just angry. But how long can you stay angry? Starting next week, she’ll be living with you in your room, in your bed.
She’ll be your wife. Will you mistreat your wife for a mistake she made in the past? You forgave your father, whom you once despised the most. Can’t you forgive a fragile girl who is deeply in love with you?”
Ryan listened without looking at them. They spoke to him for a long time before finally leaving his room to let him gather himself.
Before they left, they reminded him, “It’s all up to you, Ryan. Bring back the Ryan she knows before it’s too late. Don’t be foolish and regret it later.”
