Chapter 1252:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
“Hello, sir,” Levy greeted him politely.
It was at this point that Mekhi decided to take a good look at him. The man was handsome—but why did he look so familiar?
“What’s your name?” Mekhi asked.
“My name’s Levy Sanders,” the young man replied.
The name sounded familiar to Mekhi, but he couldn’t remember where he had first heard it.
“Flossie told us that you’re her ex-boyfriend and that you two broke up peacefully,” Mekhi said to Levy.
Levy frowned when he heard this. For a moment, he didn’t know whether to be angry at the words “ex-boyfriend” or helpless at the word “peacefully.” It was typical of Flossie. Even if she no longer wanted him, she would still protect his image by telling her parents they had parted on good terms. If she had told them they broke up because he treated her poorly, Mekhi would probably have kicked him out by now.
After a moment of silence, Levy finally said, “Sir, the truth is that I don’t want to break up with your daughter.”
Mekhi wasn’t surprised. He looked at Levy for a moment but said nothing. Then he whistled for Coal Ball and walked away with the dog in tow.
When he returned, Levy was still there, his lips very dry, as if he hadn’t eaten or drunk anything for a long time.
“Why don’t you just go home?” Mekhi suggested.
“I want to see Flossie, sir,” Levy answered.
When Flossie saw Levy following her father into the house, she was shocked.
“Get a glass of water for our guest,” Mekhi said to her, and then he and Yvonne went to their room.

Flossie fetched a glass of water for Levy. When she handed it to him, she said bluntly, “Leave after you drink it. You won’t end well if they remember who you are.”
“Why? Did they know me in the past?” Levy asked in surprise.
Halfway to their bedroom, Mekhi finally understood why Levy looked so familiar.
Immediately, his expression changed. He turned around and came back to the living room.
Before Levy could drink the glass of water, Mekhi took it away from him.
“Levy, did you once attend Jairta Middle School?” he asked.
“Yes, I did,” Levy nodded.
Immediately, Mekhi grabbed a nearby broom and struck Levy with it. “You bastard! Get out of my house! Don’t you ever come near my daughter again! Get out of here right this minute!”
Levy was shocked by the sudden change in Mekhi’s attitude. Since Mekhi was Flossie’s father, he couldn’t bring himself to fight back and had to stand there, enduring the blows.
Flossie swiftly intervened, putting herself between them. “Levy, go now!” she urged.
