Chapter 202:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Snow’s POV
When I was a kid, I thought having parents just meant having a mommy. I was so innocent. I didn’t know that to have a baby, a woman needed a man. I was taught that happiness came from having the people you love by your side. I was content with just having my mother. My mommy Kelly loves me so much that I didn’t realize I should be searching for a father. She completed my life and filled my heart with so much happiness that the thought of needing a father never crossed my mind.
It was different when I learned to understand things. I started searching for a father… secretly. I wanted to ask mommy, but every time I tried, I felt like I’d hurt her. I once asked, and I caught her crying in her room that night. It was painful to hear and see her like that. I always loved my mommy. She gave me life. She brought me into this world, and there’s no way I would forget that. I will remember it all my life and repay her with the love and kindness she deserves.
I thought Klay Carver was my father because I once heard my mommy calling his name. I was wrong. It was Pierce Anderson. He’s my father, and I proved it when he finally admitted the truth to me.
I was young, but I understood our situation. My mother and father fell apart after hurting each other. I want to believe that it was someone’s fault, but I chose to forget that part.
My parents did everything to keep me away from the mess. I know our family is complicated, but they did everything to shield me from it.
“Snow, look at this.”
I turned to my side and saw my boyfriends looking at me. I didn’t want to believe that they just befriended me because they had a crush on me. Dad was just overreacting. I know.

“What’s that? I can’t see anything,” I said, as Oliver suddenly covered my eyes.
He chuckled. “It’s dark, right? That’s my life without you.”
I heard groans from our other friends, but a familiar voice clearing his throat caught my attention. I immediately pushed Oliver’s hand away and looked at the man standing beside a black car. His face was scrunched, but he still looked so handsome.
“Daddy!” I called excitedly, running towards him. I jumped into his arms, and he wrapped his arms around my waist, lifting me off the ground as he kissed my cheek.
“How’s my princess?” he asked.
I smirked and looked at him. “Dad, it’s not summer yet! We had an agreement that whenever summer comes, you’ll either come to this country with mommy or I’ll spend the summer with you at your home.”
He chuckled, wrapping his arms around my waist. “Mommy and I miss our baby, so…”
I giggled. “You’re with Pierce?”
Pierre is my younger brother. I’m five years older than him, but he acts like he’s the older one. Despite that, I love my brother just as much as I love my mom and dad.
Dad was about to answer when his eyes landed on the boys behind me. I bit my bottom lip and looked at my friends.
Oliver and the others immediately bid me goodbye and left. I glanced at dad again, frowning at him.
“Daddy, you scared them!”
“I didn’t.”
“You did! They are my friends, dad. I already introduced them to you.”
“Yes, you introduced them to us ten years ago, Snow. And I still have the same opinion about them. They have a crush on my baby princess!”
I felt my cheeks heat up. “Daddy, that’s not true!”
He just shook his head and opened the passenger seat of his car. I slid inside and smiled at him. He was still frowning, but after a few seconds, he chuckled and pinched my nose. “You brat!”
He went to the driver’s seat and started driving. We stopped at my favorite fast food chain for takeout before heading home. Dad was carrying the paper bag of fruit we bought as I ran toward the house and screamed when I saw mommy and Pierre on the couch. “Mommy!” I threw myself into her arms, showering her with kisses.
She was laughing as I did so, and from the corner of my eye, I saw Pierre looking at me with disgust. I smirked and grabbed his arm, slinging it around his neck.
“AAHH! MOMMY, HELP!” Pierre shouted, but I ignored him.
When daddy entered, he gave the food to Aunt Phoebe, who immediately started preparing it. My eyes twinkled when I saw the delicious chicken.
“How was school, pumpkin?” Mommy asked while I munched on the chicken, sitting on the carpeted floor. Mommy was sitting on the couch behind me, gently caressing my long hair, and dad sat beside her.
“School’s fine, mommy,” I answered, smirking, “I got the highest score on the exam again!”
Mommy hugged me and kissed my hair. “I’m so proud of my girl!”
Pierre hissed, “I saw on the internet that grades don’t define you!”
“Says the one who’s not studying well,” Mommy sang. Pierre gasped.
“Mommy!”
Mommy laughed, and dad sat beside Pierre. He put his arm around our youngest. “Don’t mind them, bud. It’s fine as long as we’re handsome and girls flock to us.”
They gave each other a high five, but daddy groaned when grandma suddenly came over and smacked his head.
“You brat! What are you teaching your kid?”
Daddy groaned again. “Mom!”
I smiled while watching them. I didn’t know what our family had gone through. I was too young to understand everything that was happening around us. All I cared about back then was playing, and I didn’t understand the concept of fighting for one’s happiness. But now, it’s different. I understand everything now.
I looked around at grandma, grandpa, Aunt Phoebe, Pierre, mommy, and daddy. This is it. This is what my mom and dad fought for. They fought for this family. They fought for our happiness, and I couldn’t thank them enough for it.
