Chapter 558:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
At that moment, Tina’s loathing for Dayna surged beyond anything she had ever felt before. A knife in her hand would have been dangerous—she looked ready to strike.
Her voice rang out with accusation. “This is all your doing, isn’t it? You planned every bit of this! All you ever wanted was to watch the Foster family collapse, to see Declan brought to ruin. He was your husband—how could you be so heartless?”
Dayna surveyed Tina’s wild flailing, a hint of satisfaction in her eyes. “Right on target. That’s exactly what I wanted, and it’s all playing out according to plan.”
Fury made Tina’s whole body shake. “You’re nothing but bad luck. First, your own family fell apart, and then you destroyed ours. Letting you marry Declan was the biggest mistake of my life!”

Still not content, Tina went from sitting up to rolling on the pavement, launching into a full-blown spectacle.
“Somebody help! Look at this! My ex-daughter-in-law bankrupted our family and tried to kill me with her car! After all the kindness I showed her, she repays me with betrayal!”
Tina’s cries drew a gathering of bystanders.
One person eagerly hit record on their phone. “Now this is the kind of drama I want with my morning coffee. Who’s the villain here?”
People leaned in, curiosity sparking as they studied both women.
“Don’t these two look familiar? Weren’t they just in the news?”
Tina wasted no time, her voice rising above the murmurs. “Listen to me—this woman cheated on my son, and then left him in the dust! She’s been relentless, trying to drag every last one of us down with her. What did I ever do to deserve such misery?”
Whispers swept through the crowd as their expressions shifted, suspicion now directed toward Dayna.
Unfazed, Dayna remained steady, her posture open as she let their judgmental stares roll right off her.
Gasps and muttering grew louder. “Can you believe it? She betrays her husband, goes after his family’s money, and now she’s trying to mow down her ex-mother-in-law with a car?”
“Anyone who marries her is signing up for disaster.”
Emboldened by the crowd’s shifting mood, Tina straightened with newfound pride. “You struck me today. Unless you pay up, you’re not leaving! I want compensation for my injuries, the trauma, lost income, and anything else I can think of!”
Dayna folded her arms, eyeing Tina with amusement, as if watching a circus act. “We live in a country that runs on law, Tina. Aren’t you even a little scared of getting arrested for faking an accident?”
A flicker of unease crossed Tina’s face before she doubled down. “Who said I’m faking anything? I really am hurt—every inch of me aches!”
Rather than waste energy debating, Dayna directed her attention to the onlooker still filming the chaos. “Would you mind sending me your video? I’ll need it when I press charges for fraud.”
The bystander gave a quick, nervous nod.
Around them, someone finally noticed the pristine condition of Dayna’s vehicle. “Wait a second—where’s the damage? If she got hit, how’s the car still spotless? Not even a scratch. Is this just a setup?”
Questions like that sent a ripple of doubt through the gathering crowd. Without missing a beat, Dayna fixed Tina with a frosty stare. “You keep saying you’re hurt, but do you even have a mark on you? Let’s get checked out at the hospital—and I’ll call the police right now, just to be sure.”
Fear flickered in Tina’s eyes, and her words stumbled. “It’s all internal injuries. Still, I’m not budging without a payout.”
From the second Tina had thrown herself into the street, Dayna had seen through her act and responded with biting sarcasm. “Tell me, how much are you looking for? What—ten billion dollars?”
A greedy glint shone in Tina’s eyes as she nodded like a child promised candy. “Exactly. Life is priceless. Ten billion is barely enough for what’s been done.”
Hearing that, the crowd exchanged looks, their faces turning from intrigue to outright scorn.
Disbelief rippled through the gathering. “Ten billion dollars? She’s got to be joking.”
Someone chimed in with a laugh. “If pulling a stunt like this pays out, maybe I’ll try throwing myself in front of a car too!”
Undeterred by the giggles, Tina’s gaze remained glued to Dayna, blocking out everything else.
In her mind, getting that payout would erase every debt the Foster family owed to Dayna.
This scheme, she believed, was airtight.
A triumphant gleam sparkled in her eyes, oblivious to the rising tide of ridicule in Dayna’s expression.
Leaning in, Dayna made her point clear. “You’re sure you want that much? Take it, and it won’t be a fake accident anymore—it’s extortion. For a sum like that, you could easily spend the rest of your days behind bars.”
The color drained from Tina’s face. “You’re not scaring me off! I deserve compensation, I’m injured!”
Before anyone could reply, the studio doors burst open and someone rushed out, turning every head.
