Chapter 559:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Nell burst forward, unable to contain herself any longer.
She had witnessed the entire shameless display, and Tina’s audacity had finally shattered her last thread of patience.
“God! I’ve encountered many shameless people, but you take the crown. What a silver tongue you have, twisting reality to suit your needs. How dare you demand such an outrageous sum? Aren’t you terrified karma will catch up with you? Your skin must be made of steel. Even a bulldozer couldn’t scratch that thick hide of yours. Dayna might prefer to stay silent and avoid dealing with shrews like you, but I’m cut from a different cloth. I specialize in putting shameless people exactly where they belong!” Nell shouted as she rolled up her sleeves, ready to unleash her full arsenal of verbal warfare.
Even Dayna couldn’t suppress a smile at the sight. She had been prepared to handle Tina herself, but Nell had seized the initiative with perfect timing.
In a battle of words, ten Tinas wouldn’t stand a chance against Nell. Dayna could sit back and enjoy the show in peace.

The verbal assault left Tina momentarily speechless, and when she finally found her voice, rage and humiliation colored her words. “How dare you speak to me like that?”
Nell regarded Tina with pure contempt, elegantly sweeping her hair back before launching her next attack. “Who exactly do you think you are? What gives you the right to demand respect? Take a good look in the mirror and face your own shamelessness. You and your son are nothing but parasites, constantly bleeding Dayna dry. A cheating bastard who betrayed his partner, now playing the victim after his schemes backfired spectacularly. When Dayna lay dying and needed him, he ran straight to his mistress without a second thought! And from what I heard, his precious lover lost the baby, and he himself is injured and can’t father a child again. Poetic justice, wouldn’t you say?”
Nell ruthlessly dragged every buried secret into the light.
Dayna’s expression hardened to ice. The memory of lying broken on that road would haunt her forever. Declan had never truly cared for her. Looking back, she realized he had probably hoped she would die that day. Without Kristopher’s intervention, she would have.
That betrayal had opened Dayna’s eyes completely, paving the way for the transformation that led to her current life.
Tina’s hand shook as she pointed accusingly at Nell. “You! You’re spouting lies! How could an outsider like you possibly know anything about their marriage?”
Nell rolled her eyes with theatrical disdain. “If even an outsider like me can’t stomach it, imagine the hell Dayna endured in that sham of a marriage. And you, you vicious old hag—you tormented Dayna at every turn back then. Now that your family is facing compensation, you have the audacity to pull these dirty tricks and extort her? Did you seriously think Dayna has no one in her corner?”
Tina’s face flushed purple from Nell’s relentless verbal assault, her body swaying as if she might collapse. Never in her life had anyone dared address her with such blatant disrespect. People always treated her with deference, given her social standing.
Dayna subtly flashed Nell a thumbs-up behind the chaos. Nell’s talent for demolishing opponents with words never failed to impress. Nell caught the gesture and smirked with satisfaction before turning her attention to the gathered crowd.
“And you pack of mindless sheep, standing there looking completely lost. You don’t know the first thing about what really happened, yet here you are passing judgment like you’re some kind of moral authority. The truth is, your skulls are completely hollow. A few manipulative words and you’re dancing to someone else’s tune. Instead of wasting time gossiping here, why don’t you go home and try growing a brain?”
Nell had zero tolerance for these ignorant spectators, especially after watching them attack Dayna so readily. People who spoke without thinking were nothing more than real-life versions of mindless Internet trolls.
The crowd shrank back under Nell’s withering gaze, too intimidated to utter a single word before scattering like startled birds.
Tina remained sprawled on the ground, her appearance completely disheveled. Nell’s sharp stare pierced through her like a blade. “What’s this? Still not leaving? Planning to continue your little scam routine right here? Should I toss you some spare change? After all, it can’t be easy for someone your age to come out and put on such a pathetic performance. Consider it a tip for your theatrical efforts.”
Tina found herself completely outmatched by Nell’s sharp tongue and turned her twisted expression toward Dayna instead. “Have you lost your voice? Can’t you see how your friend is attacking me? Tell her to shut her mouth! You have no manners or proper upbringing whatsoever. Birds of a feather truly do flock together!”
“Listen here, you decrepit old witch,” Nell shot back, her eyes flashing dangerously. “It seems I need to teach you a proper lesson today about what it means to behave like a decent human being!”
