Chapter 566:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Nell’s eyes burned with fury as she glared at Dayna. Her voice was rough with emotion. “Dayna, I’ve been itching to slap that witch for ages. Today’s the day she gets what’s coming to her, so don’t try to stop this—just watch me.”
Without another word, Nell grabbed Madison’s hair and pulled with all her might.
A scream of pain burst out of Madison. “You psycho! I’ll make you pay for that!”
Locked in a wild struggle, neither woman would back down. Seeing no other way, Dayna stepped in and kicked Madison hard.
Madison hit the floor with a wail, sent sprawling by the force of Dayna’s kick. Quickly, Dayna approached Nell, worry written all over her face. “Hold still. I need to clean these cuts and patch you up.”
Still clutching a handful of Madison’s hair, Nell couldn’t hide her satisfaction. “Did you see that, Dayna? I actually beat her! She never stood a chance.”
With an exasperated sigh, Dayna gave in. “Yeah, yeah. I saw the whole thing. You definitely didn’t hold back.”

Groaning, Madison struggled to her feet. The bald patch on her scalp made her shriek even louder. “You crazy bitch! Look what you did to my hair! I swear, I’m going to destroy you!”
Fueled by rage, Madison lunged at Nell again, but Dayna reacted instantly, knocking her right back down.
Dayna moved with incredible swiftness, never once holding back her power. The impact left Madison sprawled on the floor once more, breathless and clutching at her bruises, unable to move.
Dayna’s voice turned ice-cold. “Take your tantrum somewhere else. If you keep this up, I’ll call the psychiatric hospital myself.”
Writhing in pain and furious, Madison glared at them both. “Don’t think you’ve won. I’ll get even, just wait.”
From behind Dayna, Nell shot back with a smug grin. “Go ahead and try. Next time, I won’t go easy on you!”
Dayna’s gaze softened as she watched Nell, fully aware of just how much those insults must have stung Madison.
At that moment, Henry stepped out from a nearby exam room, his small hand wrapped in a nurse’s.
He froze when he spotted Nell looking so battered, then hurried over, worry etched across his face.
Without hesitation, he asked, “Nell, what happened? Who hurt you? Just say the word and I’ll make sure they pay.”
Across the floor, Madison was still struggling to sit up, but her mood instantly brightened when she caught sight of Henry. Despite this, Henry ignored her completely and focused on Nell, gently blowing on her scratches. “Does it hurt less now?”
Nell knelt beside him and tousled his hair, flashing a grateful smile. “You’re the best, Henry. The pain’s gone just like that.”
Henry’s concern only grew. “But Nell, you still haven’t told me who did this. I’ll make sure they regret it.”
Instead of answering, Nell shot a glance at Madison, who was trying to stand. Henry didn’t know what had happened, but Madison understood everything all too well. Seeing her own son siding with her enemy only deepened the ache in Madison’s chest.
Dayna watched Madison’s troubled expression without a hint of sympathy, convinced Madison had deserved this. In the end, every decision carries a cost, and Dayna believed Madison had to live with hers. Because of that, Dayna believed Madison had brought all of this on herself.
Catching Nell’s silent cue, Henry rounded on Madison with a fierce glare. “Why did you hit Nell? You’re a terrible person!”
Madison awkwardly tried to fix her tangled hair, forcing a shaky smile for Henry. “Henry, I promise I’m not a bad person. They ganged up on me. I got hurt, too. Will you blow on my wounds like you did for her?”
“Absolutely not,” Henry answered without hesitation. He stepped forward, shielding Dayna and Nell. “You hurt Nell, and now, I don’t like you. Just go away!”
That hopeful look on Madison’s face vanished, and all that was left in her eyes was heartbreak. Every mother would be crushed by a moment like this, but deep down, Madison knew she was the one who had closed that door—she could have had a sweet kid like Henry, but she left him behind and walked away.
With her voice trembling, Madison pleaded, “I swear I’m not a bad person. What you said really hurts me. Can I just hold you for a moment?”
“No! I don’t like you. I never want to see you again!” Henry yelled, then hid his face against Dayna, refusing to look at Madison.
Seeing Henry so cold toward her was like twisting a knife in Madison’s chest, leaving her hollow and devastated.
Nell couldn’t help but throw in a jab. “Look at that, Madison. Even kids know who’s in the wrong here. Honestly, you’re so pathetic. Henry doesn’t even want to be around you.”
Refusing to give up, Madison stumbled forward, her eyes searching Henry’s face. “Henry, can’t I hold you? Not even for a second?”
But Henry wouldn’t even look at her. Wrapped around Dayna, he asked, “What’s wrong with her? Did she lose her mind?”
