Chapter 663:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
“Alpha, you found that witch, didn’t you?”
Ian looked into her green eyes, which reminded him of Ava’s. “That’s your granddaughter.”
The old witch was caught off guard by his words.
Ian scoffed and said, “Stop warning me, and just wish me luck in being with her.” After saying that, Ian turned to walk away, but she stopped him with a voice from behind.
“Alpha, just reject her and set yourself free. She is your demise. She is destined to change the future. She can only save one, and you won’t be her choice.”
Ian turned to the woman and glared at her. “I don’t care about your thoughts and predictions. Save one? Why would she need to save anyone? This won’t be a conflict where she has to choose between two options. It’s all about her heart. Without a doubt, she will choose me above everyone else. That’s my trust in her.”
Kaily stared at him, saying nothing. Her forehead was creased with wrinkles. Despite being sixty years old, her beauty remained unchanged. Ian made his way back to the bar, but halfway there, Ava’s friends approached him.
“Alpha, where is Ava? We can’t find her,” Debra said, looking around.
Ian glanced in the direction where Dane had taken Ava a while ago. She still hasn’t returned? he thought.
His blood boiled as he wondered what Dane was doing with her. He had absolutely no trust in the man.
He turned and began walking in that direction. His gaze fell on Freya, who was drinking heavily. She looked up at him, raised her glass, and gave him a sad smile.
He quickly looked away from her and continued toward the rooms. His mind raced, thinking that he had brought Ava to this place, where all the rooms were private for couples.
He heard Dane’s voice from around the corner and walked toward the last room. He stopped when he realized the door was open and could see everything inside.
Inside, Dane was hugging Ava.
Ian’s heart tightened as he saw Ava hug him back. He wanted to rush in and pull her away from that man. But the thought was discarded when Ava spoke.

“Dane, you know I have a soft spot for you in my heart. Why did you do that?” Ian felt as though a bucket of cold water had been poured over his head. Were they confessing to one another? She was asking why he had slept with Freya. Was that supposed to mean she wanted to be with him?
“I’m sorry, Ava,” Dane said. “I want to apologize to you. I’ll do everything I can to make up for it. From the day we met at the airport, I’ve always thought about you. I know I shouldn’t have broken Freya’s heart, but I also know that you are meant to be with me.”
“Your father chose me as your groom years ago. That’s why I left everyone behind and came to you,” Dane said as he held Ava and ran his hand through her hair.
From where he stood, Ian could see Ava’s face. She closed her eyes, seemingly enjoying the warmth of Dane’s embrace.
Ian fixed his gaze on the woman he loved more than anything in the world. He wasn’t angry with her—he was angry at himself for letting her go all those years ago. No matter how hard he tried to pursue her, it seemed she already had someone else in her heart.
