Chapter 844:

Hayley said in a calm voice, “The pills I made don’t harm physical health, so there’s no need to fret. Besides, I’ll accelerate the research for an antidote to restore their memories.”
“I appreciate your dedication.”
“It’s no trouble at all,” Hayley turned to look at him and continued, “It seems likely the person who stole the pills from Jewell is behind Yvonne’s troubles. You need to dig deep into this.”
“I understand.” Marc’s expression hardened. “I will make sure anyone who lays a finger on my sister pays dearly.”
A knock on the door broke their conversation, and Willie entered, lowering his voice. “Mr. Fowler…”
Marc stepped out into the hallway. “Let’s talk here.”
Once outside the hospital room, Willie said to Marc, “The bodyguards went to see Mr. Thomas. He and his wife are both fine and show no signs of memory loss.”
Marc frowned. “Wife? You mean Sadie?”
“No, Mr. Thomas remarried. He just got the marriage certificate yesterday. His new wife is a waitress at his restaurant. Mrs. Brooks only learned about it yesterday and asked me to get a gift for her,” Willie explained.
Marc pondered the matter for a moment. “Shane and Yvonne losing their memories at the same time suggests they took the pills together. Since their breakfast and lunch that day were fine, the issue must have arisen at dinner. And, coincidentally, they dined with a stranger for the first time last night… We need to investigate Landon’s new wife thoroughly for anything odd.”
Willie nodded. “Understood.”
“Has the autopsy report for the driver come in yet?” Marc asked.
“It should be in soon. I’ve arranged for someone to keep an eye on it, and I’ll let you know as soon as we have the results,” Willie replied.

“Alright.”
When Yvonne opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was a strikingly handsome face.
“Awake at last?” Marc asked with a warm smile, his eyes flickering with concern. “How are you feeling? Is your head still in pain?”
Yvonne gave a slight shake of her head.
When she first stirred in the morning, a minor ache had lingered, but it had since eased considerably.
“You must be hungry now. I’ve arranged for some food to be brought in. Let me get that for you,” Marc said.
Yvonne nodded appreciatively.
Moments later, a servant entered with a tray, and Marc took a bowl of soup. “How about I help you with this?”
Yvonne smiled softly, shaking her head. “No need for that; I can manage on my own.”
“Alright then,” Marc replied, respecting her choice. “Just make sure you eat your fill.”
