Chapter 1533:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
And yet, deep down, Brandon knew that he might never truly be able to move on from Millie.
The soft notes of the violin drifted gently through the venue as Brandon’s gaze remained fixed on Millie. Their relationship had settled into something calm and balanced. They could now speak and meet each other without tension. He had brought her a local delicacy from Eldoria, a sweet treat he believed both Millie and Ari would love.
He might have to watch her from afar for the rest of his life, and he had accepted it. Loving someone, he realized, was not hurting them in order to keep them close, but stepping back, letting go, and sincerely hoping they found joy.
The violin’s melody carried on as drones rose high into the night sky, forming a breathtaking display of fireworks. Brilliant lights bloomed overhead, drawing amazed murmurs from the audience. The sky above and the space around the venue shimmered with radiant color. Millie continued to play, her music flowing quietly into every listener’s heart, leading them toward a hopeful tomorrow. Many eyes brimmed with tears, but no one felt fragile. A steady strength moved through the crowd.
The tune carried on as a soft wind brushed past. Then, suddenly, snow began to fall from the sky. Pure white flakes fluttered gently downward, settling on Millie’s hair, her violin, and the fine curve of her eyelashes. Her hands never paused. Fireworks illuminated the night as snow fell around her, the two blending together and making her look even more stunning.
“Wow!”

“Did the weather forecast mention snow today?”
“No, it didn’t. I checked earlier!”
“This is incredible. Is this Crobert’s first snow of the year?”
“It is. The very first snow, coming at this exact moment. How fitting!”
Snow continued to drift down as Myron sat quietly among the audience, his eyes fixed on Millie performing on stage. The light surrounding her seemed to warm him from the inside out. After so many years of waiting and enduring hardship, his chest ached with sorrow for everything she had been through. At the same time, each display of her resilience filled him with deep admiration and a sense of pride.
JM Investments, the company Millie had founded, had risen to become Crobert’s fourth major power. What James had failed to accomplish, Millie had achieved beyond any doubt. He would never try to dim her light. From now on his place would always be at her side, quietly guarding her path.
On stage, Millie played on, her gaze lowered, emotions burning fiercely within her until the final note gently moved through the air. She fell silent, then slowly looked up to find snow swirling all around her. Subconsciously, she stretched out her hand and caught a snowflake. It felt cool against her skin, but its beauty was undeniable.
Snow continued to fall from the sky. She lifted her eyes from her palm and met Myron’s gaze among the crowd. He was watching her, with Ari hopping excitedly at his side. Millie paused briefly, then a serene smile spread across her face.
