Chapter 1534:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Not far away, Brandon looked on in silence, taking in the scene before him.
The performance came to an end, and a deafening wave of applause swept through the venue. Millie bent into a deep bow, offering her farewell to the audience. Many voices called out, unwilling to let her leave, some already choked with emotion. She met their gazes and, at last, raised her hand in a gentle wave.
“This isn’t goodbye,” she said softly. “Walk boldly toward your shining futures.”
The concert came to an end. As soon as Millie stepped off the stage, Taylor rushed over, brushing the snow off her shoulders before draping a thick down jacket around her. Myron and Ari quickly joined them. Myron took Millie’s hands and rubbed them between his palms.
“Are you cold?” he asked, his voice full of concern.
Millie smiled and shook her head. “I’m fine.” Even so, the tip of her nose had already turned slightly red from the cold.
“You’re lying,” Myron said with a sigh as he led her toward the heated lounge.
“Wait,” Millie said, stopping him.
“What is it?” he asked, worry flashing across his face.

In the next instant, Millie rose onto her toes and brushed a quick kiss against his lips.
“Oh!” Ari covered her face with her tiny hands. “Mommy and Daddy kissing!”
Before Myron had time to respond, Millie scooped Ari up and carried her toward the lounge. Myron watched them walk away, noticed the grin on Taylor’s face, and let out a soft laugh. He soon followed, took Ari from Millie’s arms, and then took Millie’s hand as the three of them walked forward together.
The concert turned out to be an overwhelming success. The crowd dispersed calmly and in good order. Because of the sudden snowfall, additional security personnel and vehicles had been prepared to make sure everyone returned safely. The performance had been broadcast live online while also welcoming a live audience, touching not only those present at the venue but countless viewers watching from afar.
As the crowd gradually dispersed, Millie’s new song, “The End,” played through the streets. The final violin segment, with its steady rhythms, filled the air and stirred deep emotions in countless hearts. Above them, drones continued to glide across the sky, bright and mesmerizing, while people stepped forward into different paths of life on this first day of snowfall.
Later that night, Millie gathered with everyone for a modest late-night meal arranged by Charles. Brandon was there as well. Over the past few weeks, their interactions had become surprisingly peaceful, with past grudges slowly fading.
When it was time to part, Brandon handed Millie a bag of sweets he had brought with him.
“The concert was a huge success,” he said warmly. “Congratulations.”
Millie accepted the bag, meeting his gaze as she did. “Thank you,” she said softly.
“Give it a try, see how it tastes,” Brandon suggested.
