Chapter 543:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Startled by the sight of the bank card, Violet shook her hands in refusal. “No, I can’t accept your money.”
“This is your salary, just paid in advance.” Hayley’s tone turned firm. “The next few days will be hectic, and I might forget to give it to you. So keep it.”
As Violet stared at the card, a wave of emotion rose within her. It was obvious that this was simply Hayley’s way of offering help.
“Thank you, Miss Morgan. I gladly accept it,” Violet said, taking the card and holding it tightly. In that quiet moment, she made a silent promise to herself. For the sake of this kindness alone, she would stand by Hayley no matter what.

A call came through to Hayley’s phone.
The caller was Kaden.
“I’ve already seen everything circulating online. Do you want me to step in and take care of it?” Kaden spoke in a casual tone that made it clear he didn’t take it seriously.
A faint smile tugged at Hayley’s lips. “Kaden, it sounds like you’re simply looking for something to do. If you were truly planning to help, you would’ve acted instead of calling me.”
For a brief moment, he fell silent. She was right. Boredom had pushed him to make the call, and deep down, he only wanted to hear her voice.
“So that means you already have something in mind?” he asked.
“I do,” Hayley admitted. Her eyes grew more intent. “This is only the start. They’ll keep pushing things further. I’ll wait until everything reaches its peak.”
“That sounds interesting! Then I’ll sit back and enjoy how it all unfolds,” Kaden said, and a trace of excitement slipped into his voice.
With that, Hayley ended the call and gently shook her head. A quiet thought crossed her mind. Lately, Kaden had been paying more attention to her than usual.
They were only business partners. There was no real reason for him to show this much concern.
“Violet, we’re going to Pioneer Group,” Hayley said.
“Yes, Miss Morgan.”
Not long ago, Emely had already sent a message to ask what was going on.
Rather than going into details, Hayley only replied that they would talk once they arrived at the office.
Frustration boiled over inside Emely. She almost ordered the PR team to move at once and wipe out every harsh comment directed at Hayley.
“This is unbearable! How can they speak so viciously?” Emely snapped as she stared at the screen. She began replying to the comments one after another. “Alina, call everyone. We’re going to fire back at them!”
Although Hayley had made it clear that PR was not needed, Emely refused to stay quiet.
Even if she couldn’t argue with every single person, she would still answer as many as she could. There was no way she would quietly accept this kind of humiliation.
At the same time, the backlash against Hayley online only grew stronger.
