Chapter 567:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
“Your orders, ma’am?”
Hayley turned slowly, her gaze sharpening as it fixed on the brightly lit house. “Since the break is final, there’s no need for mercy. Tell the men to remove Harold Morgan and his people. All of them.” She paused, her tone turning glacial. “If anyone resists, use force. If they get hurt, or even killed, I’ll take full responsibility.”
Leland’s heart lurched. She was completely severing her last tie to the Morgan family. She didn’t even care that the two elders were present.
“Yes, ma’am.”
Leland knew how to read a room. The Hayley standing before him might have looked cornered, but her chilling presence hadn’t diminished in the slightest. He was certain she was holding a trump card, something that would let her turn the tables. Otherwise, she could never be so composed.

With a sharp gesture, he signaled his men. “Everyone, with me.” A palpable sense of menace emanated from them as the security team stormed toward the house.
Kaden strolled to Hayley’s side, a mocking smirk playing on his lips. “How ironic. When Harold bought this villa, he flaunted it like a badge of his power. And now he’s about to be thrown out like a stray dog by you.”
“They brought this on themselves.” Hayley’s expression was indifferent, not a shred of mercy in her eyes. “I was going to spare the old man one last shred of dignity. Too bad he was so impatient and greedy. Since they chose to measure family ties in terms of profit, I’ll play their game. I’ll become the cold-blooded profiteer they expect me to be.”
Kaden stared into her eyes and saw only a bleak emptiness, a clear sign of her final, irreversible break with the Morgan family. On an impulse he didn’t understand, he stepped forward and pulled her into his arms.
“You’re not alone. I’ll stay with you.”
Hayley’s entire body went rigid. She pushed him away, an awkward tension in the movement as she put distance between them. “Mr. Evans, under the circumstances, there’s no reason for us to continue this contract marriage.”
The cold finality in her voice sent a sharp, bitter pang through Kaden’s chest.
“Hayley, I admit I underestimated you. I thought you were just a ghost crawling out of hell, fueled by hatred. I was wrong. You are a force to be reckoned with.”
Kaden’s gaze was sincere, his tone taking on a rare seriousness. “For a long time, I believed I was destined to walk my path alone, that finding an equal was impossible. But you changed my mind. Perhaps we can change the terms of our partnership… and become true partners.”
Hearing such words from Kaden, the man known as the Living Reaper, struck Hayley as utterly absurd.
“Mr. Evans… did I hear you correctly?” Hayley let out a bitter laugh, shaking her head. “You want to be my buddy?”
