Chapter 1101:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
“Look at me!” Hannah gripped his face, guiding his unfocused eyes toward her. “We’re out of time. The chip in your brain can’t be taken out, but Xander has cut off its command function. Vera’s onto us and closing in fast. Listen carefully—we have to put on a show. I’m going to make it look like I’m abducting you and trying to get you out of here. Do you get it? Cooperate with me!”
Her tone remained steady and composed.
Seconds stretched thin as awareness fought its way back through the fog in Vincent’s mind. His memories returned. His eyes settled on her with a profound, unwavering yearning.
Instead of answering her plan, he summoned his strength and pulled her into a sudden, desperate embrace. It was fierce and possessive, as if he wanted to meld her into his very bones. A slight tremor ran through him.
His lips brushed her ear, his voice a raw, husky whisper filled with a lifetime of regret and longing. “Hannah… I missed you so much… more than you can know. And I am… so sorry.”
He felt remorse for leaving her to handle everything alone.
Those few words struck Hannah with overwhelming force, making her eyes sting as tears threatened to fall. Every memory of her grievances, unresolved pain, and hard-earned strength seemed to converge in that instant. However, this wasn’t the right moment to give in to those feelings.
With a determined effort, she stepped out of Vincent’s embrace. She hardened her expression and spoke quickly. “There’s no time to reminisce! Vera is right outside with her people! If you’re set on revenge and want to reclaim what’s yours, listen to me and follow my lead!”
Her gaze darted around the room before settling on the soft cloth strips reserved for experiments. A flash of resolve crossed her face. She called out to the bodyguards by the door, “Tie him to the chair now! Make it look like he’s being held against his will. Hurry!”
Vincent’s eyes met hers, and beneath the surface, a storm of emotions passed through him before giving way to unwavering trust. Without putting up a fight, he willingly brought his hands behind him and spoke in a rough, strained tone. “Secure it tightly. It has to look convincing.”

The guards quickly looped the cloth around his wrists and forced him into the seat.
Hannah inhaled deeply, straightened her tousled clothes and hair, and fought to steady her emotions.
She approached Vincent, leaned in, and lifted his chin with a single finger. The gesture drew them close.
His gaze didn’t waver from hers.
She leaned in, speaking just loud enough for him to hear. “Now you should act like you’re being held here against your will while I’m trying to take you away from Vera.”
Just then, a loud crash sounded as the classroom door flew open.
Vera burst inside with a line of bodyguards trailing behind her, radiating hostility. Her eyes immediately landed on Hannah, who was leaning intimately close to Vincent, her finger still hooked under his chin.
“What do you think you’re doing?” Vera demanded in an icy, cutting tone.
Hannah kept her hand where it was, only tilting her head as she regarded Vera. “You came quite fast. Isn’t it clear enough? I’m abducting him and taking him away from you.”
