Chapter 1108:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Facing the audience, she maintained a serene smile that shimmered with practiced ease, as if nothing about this moment was wrong.
“Thank you all for gathering here today to witness this important moment in my life.” Her voice carried across the hall with poised confidence. “Although the traditional rituals of marriage possess their own charm, the exchange of rings feels somewhat overdone to me. Regardless of how brilliant the rings may appear, they remain cold, lifeless trinkets. How could such objects ever hope to embody the unwavering, boundless love Vincent and I share?”
Whispers rippled through the crowd like an unexpected breeze. Dismissing the most iconic ritual of a wedding as trite sent shockwaves of disbelief through the attendees.
Unaffected by the growing commotion, Vera brought her hands together in a crisp clap that echoed across the hall.
Colden emerged from the side of the stage at once, flanked by two imposing bodyguards who shadowed his every step. They moved two square tables and matching chairs to the center of the platform.

Colden laid two crisp folders, each stamped with the unmistakable logo of the Jones Group, neatly atop the tables.
“What is happening right now?”
“Is she turning her wedding into some sort of business presentation? Surely not…”
“Wait—an equity transfer agreement? I swear I caught a glimpse of the title just now.”
“They are actually signing documents at a wedding? Who has ever heard of such a thing?”
The murmurs swelled into a restless buzz. Dozens of guests leaned forward in their seats, stretching their necks in an attempt to decipher the text.
Vera glided toward one of the tables and eased herself into the chair with impeccable composure. She then gestured for Vincent to take the seat beside her.
A faint line creased Vincent’s brow, a chill flickering through his eyes that betrayed a hint of resistance. Yet with so many eyes fixed upon him, he lowered himself into the chair without protest.
“Today, I want every one of our distinguished guests to witness a promise far more authentic and far more enduring.” Vera’s voice quivered with thrill. “Vincent once confessed that he loves me beyond all things and would gladly share everything in his possession with me. That is why I believe nothing can demonstrate his love more powerfully than this equity transfer agreement.”
Lifting the pen with delicate fingers, she directed a syrupy smile toward the audience before fixing her gaze on Vincent. Her tone sweetened to a cloying intensity as she asked, “Vincent, you’ll agree to this, won’t you? You said you would give me anything I ask for. This is the gift I want more than anything else. Sign it and let everyone here witness the depth of your devotion to me.”
The hall detonated into chaos. Hushed whispers ballooned into shocked gasps and incredulous arguments. Forcing the groom to endorse an equity transfer agreement in front of the city’s most influential figures? It bordered on madness, an audacity that defied every expectation of what a wedding should be.
