Chapter 1109:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
“Vera! Have you completely lost your senses?” Danica’s shrill voice sliced through the uproar as she barreled onto the stage, her features drained of color and twisted with fury.
Her hand trembled violently as she leveled an accusatory finger at Vera. “The Jones Group is the Jones family’s legacy! How dare you make such a demand at the wedding? You’re trying to jeopardize the future of Jones Group!”
Vera’s smile thinned out entirely, her features icing over with indifference. Without granting Danica so much as a glance, she lifted the microphone and commanded, “Colden, remove the insignificant one here.”
“Understood.” Colden strode forward without hesitation and signaled the staff to take Danica away.
“Let go of me! I am Vincent’s mother, a senior member of this family! Vera, how dare you!” Danica fought wildly, her once flawless makeup streaking down her cheeks.

“Take her away.” Vera’s voice carried nothing but annoyance, devoid of even the slightest trace of compassion.
Two bodyguards seized Danica and dragged her off the stage despite her thrashing cries, leaving the audience below stunned into breathless disbelief.
Vera refocused on Vincent, her composure restored as if the disruption had never existed. She lifted the agreement, flipped to the signature page, and offered Vincent a soft smile. “Vincent, see? Everyone is watching. This is merely a symbol of your trust and affection for me. Sign it, alright? You love me more than anyone else, and you’d do anything for me, wouldn’t you?”
“In front of all these people, is this really appropriate?” he rasped, his tone strained.
“This is the wedding process I want,” Vera shot back immediately, her voice edged with dissatisfaction. “I want everyone present to witness your absolute love for me. Vincent, you love me the most, don’t you? Sign it. Hmm?”
The last sound curled off her tongue in a soft, enticing murmur.
Vincent fell silent, his eyes glued to the contract on the table. Vera’s patience thinned; crescents formed in her palms as her nails dug into her skin.
Just as she parted her lips to press him further, Vincent finally moved. He seized the pen and dragged his signature across the page.
Vera tracked every movement with rapt fixation, and when the final letter landed, an almost feral gleam of victory ignited in her eyes. Her pulse hammered against her ribs, each beat so fierce that it felt ready to burst free.
Without hesitation, she added her own signature, her hand trembling with exhilaration. She had made it. She had actually pulled it off!
Pressing the agreement into Colden’s hands, she watched as he immediately signaled someone to begin the transfer procedures.
Lifting her chin, she basked in her triumph, her expression radiating unrestrained satisfaction. The Jones Group now belonged to her.
Vera didn’t notice that Vincent’s attention had already shifted to the far corner, where Hannah sat in quiet stillness. As shock rippled through the guests, their eyes met, and Hannah gave him the slightest nod.
