Chapter 1111:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
They caught the signal immediately and lunged toward her, reaching to seize her by the arms.
However, before their fingers could so much as graze her sleeve, eight figures burst from behind the banquet hall’s pillars, forming a solid wall around Hannah with precise, practiced movements. In one swift, fluid motion, they disabled Vera’s two bodyguards, wrenching their joints out of place before either man could manage a scream.
It happened so quickly the watching crowd barely processed what had occurred.
Hannah’s guards had blended seamlessly into Vera’s security team, allowing her to enter the banquet hall without raising a single suspicion.
A heavy silence swept over the room once more.
Vera’s confident façade began to crack. Her eyes narrowed on Hannah’s composed figure, unease spiraling sharply in her chest. Still, she consoled herself that, prepared or not, Hannah’s presence wouldn’t change a thing. After all, she held the equity transfer agreement, making her the lawful largest shareholder and rightful chairman of Jones Group. No amount of skill or silent force behind Hannah could rewrite that fact.
Vera spoke slowly as she pulled out her phone. Then she keyed in a number for everyone present to see.
Almost immediately, a respectful man answered, “Hello. Chairman’s Office.”
Lifting her chin with a commanding air, Vera declared, “This is Vera Oliver. As the newly appointed Chairman of Jones Group, I’m instructing you to cease all collaboration with Luminara Group on the Stellink project. Shut everything down immediately. Am I clear?”
A moment of silence hung in the air before the man responded, his tone still professional. “Understood. Please give me a moment to confirm your authorization in the system.”

Vera’s lips curled into a self-satisfied grin as she shot Hannah a look full of challenge. This was the power she craved. With a single command, she could grind Hannah’s prized project to a halt.
But Hannah’s response wasn’t what Vera expected. Calm and unfazed, she simply watched Vera and even lifted an eyebrow, showing no hint of fear, anger, or desperation.
That quiet confidence unsettled Vera deeply.
A few moments later, the voice on the line returned, still polite, but with news that stunned Vera. “I’m afraid I can’t do as you say. The system shows you don’t have the authority to suspend the Stellink project collaboration. I can’t comply with your request.”
“What?” Vera’s confident look vanished at once, and her tone rose sharply with anger. “Repeat that. The equity transfer papers were already signed and filed for registration. I’m now the largest shareholder and the Chairman of Jones Group! Why would I lack the authority? Handle it right now, or I will dismiss you on the spot!”
The person on the phone kept their composure. “Please understand that there’s no evidence of any equity transfer in your name or any supreme permissions. Because of that, I can’t fulfill your instructions. If there’s nothing else, I’ll end the call now.”
The line went dead.
