One day, while trying on new clothes at home, Darya received a phone call from Bradley Gould. “Miss McAllister, I’ve invested in a reality show. Are you interested in being a part of it?”

Since Bradley Gould had personally approached her, Darya had a feeling he had something up his sleeve. She cut to the chase, asking, “Is Oliver going to be there?”

The CEO of Eminence chuckled. “You saw right through that, huh?”

Darya scoffed. “You only ever call me if you have a favor to ask. What is it this time? You want me and Oliver to be an onscreen couple, huh?”

Bradley chuckled again. “You’re sharp, Darya. That’s exactly what I had in mind.”

Darya raised an eyebrow. “What kind of reality show is it?”

“Outdoor adventure,” Bradley Gould explained. “I think it suits your temperament perfectly.”

His words made Darya furrow her brow. What did he mean by saying it suited her temperament?

Nevertheless, the idea of an adventure show did sound intriguing. After all, she had spent a week on a deserted island with Micah, which sort of counted as an adventure. Darya agreed to Bradley’s request.

However, when she arrived on the set of the show, she quickly realized that it wasn’t the kind of adventure she had envisioned. The participants were Oliver Sterling, actress Astrid Lundgren, and two other celebrities joining the cast. To Darya’s surprise, Thomas was there as well.

“What are you doing here, Thomas?” Darya asked.

Thomas beamed at her and explained, “I’m an adventure and challenges blogger, so the production team invited me.”

“He’s quite popular abroad,” Oliver whispered in Darya’s ear. Although Darya had done some research on Thomas, she had no idea he enjoyed such a level of online fame.

Remembering his performance in Enigma Manor, she couldn’t help but think that this program might not even fully tap into his talents.

As the filming began, the first challenge presented to them was to search for treasures in a tropical rainforest park.

The park, located on the outskirts, had been carefully designed with artificial lakes and meticulously maintained vegetation to recreate the ambiance of a real rainforest. The participants were split into two groups, with the first group to find the treasure declared the winner. Since Darya had been paired with Oliver for the show, she naturally found herself in his group.

Thomas had wanted to be teamed up with Darya, but Astrid offered to join Darya and Oliver before him, causing Thomas to reluctantly step back.

Darya’s impression of Astrid so far had been limited to her winning the Best Supporting Actress award. However, as they embarked on their treasure hunt with Oliver and Astrid, Darya soon realized that Astrid had ulterior motives for being in their group.
