Chapter 329:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Stella lay prone on the bed and stretched. Then, she looked at RK silently. He had already gone through all the documents and even taken out Adrian’s tablet computer to play games. Looking at his excited expression, it was clear that he had been playing for more than a minute or two.
“Hey, RK. It’s already so late. Aren’t you going home?” Stella felt that it was late at night, and he should have returned home.
“Mmm, I won’t go back tonight.”
RK’s words sounded like something an emperor would say to a concubine: “I will stay for the night. You should kneel and thank me.” Was she supposed to thank him?
That’s ridiculous.
“You don’t have to stay. I can take care of myself. Besides, the nurse is here. Nothing will go wrong.” Stella felt that she was a woman of integrity and had to firmly resist RK’s shamelessness.
“It’s almost 11 PM. Turn off the laptop and go to sleep.”
It was clear that RK didn’t agree with her. He was playing happily on the tablet computer.
Stella had no choice but to accept his presence. If he wanted to torture himself, she might as well let him. After considering this, she turned off the laptop and lay back in bed, ready to fall asleep.
RK continued to play the game calmly.
Time ticked by. Just as RK was about to clear the game, a very helpless voice came from the hospital bed.
“RK, I want to go to the bathroom,” Stella called out in a muffled voice, only to find that RK didn’t pay attention to her. Thus, she raised her voice and shouted, “RK, I really need to pee!”
Only then did RK react. He put down the tablet, got up, and walked over to Stella.

“Hey, what are you looking at? I’m in a hurry to pee.” Seeing that RK was just standing in front of the bed and staring at her, Stella felt she couldn’t hold it any longer. She rolled her eyes at RK.
RK didn’t say anything. He leaned over and picked Stella up carefully, making sure not to touch her wound.
After sending Stella to the toilet, RK closed the door. He repeatedly told her not to be shy if she needed anything. Only after she assured him could he finally leave. He then stood not far from the toilet, waiting for her to finish.
Stella rolled her eyes silently and slowly used the toilet. She decided that no matter how busy she was the next day, she would certainly call Violet. She would use RK’s phone and make him pay the bill.
Stella called RK only after she was done.
“RK, I’m ready.”
To be honest, Stella didn’t realize that while she was in the toilet, RK had been outside, feeling as if he had been waiting for a year. Her wound had just reopened, and she didn’t dare to move on the bed. Was it okay to go to the toilet? What if she fell again?
RK felt conflicted. When he went out to buy food, Stella had already asked a nurse to help her go to the bathroom. Although her back was painful when she walked, she couldn’t avoid it. It was a natural need, so she couldn’t do anything about it.
Stella was about to stand up from the toilet when RK pushed the door open and came in, making her feel very embarrassed. Fortunately, she had already pulled up her pants. Otherwise, it would have been too humiliating.
“Hey, we’re both honest people. I feel fine going to the women’s bathroom when I should be in the men’s bathroom. Don’t tell me you’re the one feeling awkward.” RK laughed, sensing Stella’s embarrassment.
“Do you think everyone is like you? You’re shameless. Girls care a lot about their dignity,” Stella retorted, but the pain in her back made her unable to stand up easily. She had to be more careful and focused on walking, her eyes fixed on the ground.
As soon as she walked out of the bathroom, RK carried her on his back.
Although Stella was a little unhappy, she had to admit that lying on RK’s back was always more comfortable than lying on the bed.
When they returned to the ward, Stella looked at the time and was shocked.
It was almost midnight. Oh my God, she had been in the toilet for over half an hour!
RK didn’t react much. After placing Stella on the bed, he returned to the sofa and focused on his game. He didn’t put down the tablet until the game was over. He got up and looked at Stella.
Very good. She was sleeping soundly.
RK walked to the window and looked at the scenery in the distance. He then looked down. Aside from the streetlights and the dimly lit houses, the entire city was enveloped in a calm and peaceful atmosphere. Warm lights faintly illuminated the surroundings, creating a particularly soothing ambiance.
Stella’s long and slow breathing could be heard…
RK yawned and then sat down on the sofa.
Since it had been raining for the past few days, there was no moonlight at night. The sky was so dark that he could vaguely see dark clouds drifting away. The gentle breeze of early summer blew against the window he had shut. RK lay on the sofa, lost in thought about what had happened six years ago.
His youth could be described as radiant and passionate, filled with rich and intense colors. He often sweated on the basketball court like rain and sometimes studied music in the music room. No matter what he did, there were always people looking up to him. He never felt lonely…
