Chapter 582:

Bryan tilted his head and kissed her cheek.
“I’m sorry, baby girl. Are you mad at me?” he asked in a raspy voice.
“No,” she replied, continuing what she was doing.
His right hand caressed her bare neck, making her close her eyes. Suddenly, she felt a weight settle on her collarbone. Frowning, she opened her eyes—and froze.
Her gaze fell directly on her reflection. She stared at the necklace Bryan had just placed around her neck.
“This!”
She immediately stood up and turned to face him.
“This emerald necklace! This is the only piece in the world—it sold out at the last auction! How did you get it?” she asked, her tone filled with shock.
She wasn’t usually a fan of jewelry, but a few days ago, this necklace had caught her eye at the auction she attended with Mila. She didn’t buy it because it was too expensive, and she had felt she shouldn’t spend so much money on herself.
“I clearly remember. Some pack bought it for twice the price to display it in their museum,” she murmured.
Bryan smirked at her, gently rubbing his knuckles against her chin.
“And your husband paid three times that amount to get it from them.”
Her lips parted in surprise—not because of the money he had spent, but because of how he always catered to her preferences.
“I’m sorry again, baby girl. I was late bringing you this present. Bruce also wanted to buy something for Mila, so we both arrived late tonight.”
She hugged him and mumbled,
“Bryan, you didn’t have to.”
He kissed her head and whispered,
“Come with me. I have another surprise for you.”
Sophia was puzzled as he led her out of their bedroom.
What surprise was he talking about? It was already late, and everyone else had gone to sleep. What kind of surprise could it be?
As soon as he brought her out onto the balcony, she let out a loud gasp. It felt like she had stepped into a fantasy world—the decoration was breathtaking.
The large balcony had been transformed into a dreamy space.
Suddenly, she heard a sound behind her.
Turning around, she saw Bryan closing the balcony door.
“What are you doing?” she asked shyly.
He wrapped his arms around her waist and guided her to the other side of the balcony.
There, she saw a cozy sleeping arrangement.
On the white mattress placed on the floor, there were flowers, champagne, and a tray of fruits.
Both of them smiled at each other as they sat down.
