Chapter 1055:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
“Mrs. Brooks!” Margaret cried out, rushing toward her.
Andrew was already gone, walking out with Kyla, never once glancing back.
The arrival at Brooks Manor sent the household into immediate chaos.
Kyla trailed behind Andrew, her eyes wide as she took in the mansion’s grand architecture, the sprawling lawns, the stream of servants, the fragrant air. Her pulse quickened. She had never imagined herself in a place so lavish.
Amanda, upon hearing that Andrew had brought Kyla home, was already seated in the living room, rigid with fury. “That bastard,” she seethed. “I should have snapped his legs the last time!”

Andrew walked in with Kyla and faced Amanda and Wade squarely. “Didn’t you want a descendant for the family? Didn’t you want the Brooks bloodline to continue? Well, here she is. Are you happy now?”
Amanda shook with rage, hoisting her cane. “Get this shameless home-wrecker out of here!” she roared.
“Home-wrecker?” Andrew replied, his voice dangerously flat. “Don’t you want the child she’s carrying?”
Amanda’s face trembled, her cane swinging toward him and hovering close to his face. “How dare you speak to me like that! Aren’t you the one who caused this entire mess to begin with?”
A sudden ache pierced through Andrew’s chest. He knew full well he had sparked every bit of this chaos. On what grounds had he blown up at Amanda?
Amanda spun toward Gavin and barked, “Call security this instant! Drag this shameless woman out of here!”
Kyla, rattled, slipped behind Andrew and gripped his cuff. “Mr. Brooks, please — you have to help me,” she murmured.
The guards closed in around her, faces hard and merciless, batons in hand. “Kindly leave,” one of them said.
Kyla didn’t dare struggle. She looked at Andrew with desperate eyes, silently pleading for him to intervene.
Andrew didn’t even glance her way. He had never truly intended for Kyla to settle into Brooks Manor. His earlier words had been aimed at needling Cathryn, and to his astonishment, Cathryn had consented. Cornered by his own words, he’d had no choice but to bring Kyla back with him.
“Mr. Brooks,” Kyla begged again.
Andrew fixed her with an icy look. “My grandmother has made her position clear. There’s nothing I can do. You should leave.”
“And you — walk out as well!” Amanda snapped at Andrew, striking her cane against the floor with a resounding crack.
Andrew’s brows drew together. “This house belongs to me too.”
Amanda’s lips trembled. “Last time it was some nightclub escort stirring up trouble. Now you’re bringing this brazen mistress straight into our home? The two of you — out! How disgraceful!”
Every person in the living room stared at Kyla with open contempt. They hadn’t forgotten how Yasmine had once made a spectacle of herself there and refused to leave. And now this shameless homewrecker had the nerve to show her face inside these walls.
Brooks Manor received visitors from the highest circles of society. Someone so reviled had no place within it.
