Chapter 1059:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
“Then what am I supposed to do?” Kyla cried, her voice cracking. She had sacrificed so much to get this close to Andrew. She refused to let it all slip away now.
Cara’s anger cut through the line. “You are completely useless. It took me twenty days to win over Andrew’s father and two months to marry him. I practically handed Andrew to you, and you couldn’t even manage to get him into bed.”
Kyla sobbed into the phone. “I finally see the truth. Andrew is only using me to make Cathryn jealous. He has no real feelings for me at all.”
“Stop acting like a lovesick teenager,” Cara snapped. “It doesn’t matter whether he loves you or not. What matters is that you find a way to sleep with him tonight.”
Kyla wiped her eyes and steadied herself. “Tell me what I need to do.”
“Do you still have that drug I gave you?”
“Yes. I have it.”
“Then tonight is when you use it.”
Elsewhere, as Andrew stepped out of Azure Vista, a sharp wind cut straight through his coat. He had fully expected Cathryn to let him in, and her refusal had genuinely caught him off guard.
He pulled out a cigarette and lit it, drawing a long, slow drag and exhaling his frustration along with the grey smoke. He told himself that once he forced Kyla to end the pregnancy tomorrow, all of this would finally be over.

His phone buzzed. He answered immediately.
Kyla was frantic on the other end. “Mr. Brooks, help me — my stomach hurts so badly. I don’t think the baby is going to make it!”
Andrew stood frozen for a moment, caught off guard by the sudden turn.
Kyla let out a sharp cry of pain. “It hurts so much,” she sobbed.
He spun around at once and sprinted back toward the Azure Vista building. When he reached her apartment, he pounded urgently on the door. After a long delay, it finally swung open — and there was Kyla, crumpled on the floor, beads of sweat glistening on her forehead.
Andrew reached down and helped her up. “What’s wrong? What happened?”
She slumped against his chest, both hands clutching her stomach. “It hurts so badly. I’m scared — I’m scared I might lose the baby.”
Andrew carefully lifted her into his arms. “I’m taking you to the hospital right now.”
“No — don’t move me!” Kyla cried out, her body curling inward as a fresh wave of pain tore through her. “It’s too much. Please, just stay still.”
Startled, Andrew froze, holding her tightly but afraid to take another step.
She gripped his arms with desperate hands. “Mr. Brooks — the baby — please, just hold me a little longer.”
Watching her tremble so violently filled Andrew with helpless pity. He lowered himself onto the sofa with her in his arms and decided to wait until the pain subsided before attempting to move her again.
Gradually, cradled against him, Kyla began to settle.
