Chapter 595:
If Sheri could kill her own cousin, who else was beyond her reach?
The answer was clear: no one.
Sheri stood frozen, her mind racing. She hadn’t anticipated that Khloe would be so prepared, already anticipating her every move.
But Sheri was no novice. She didn’t panic. Instead, she stared at Khloe with a growing sense of displeasure, unfazed by the footage.
“Fabricating evidence to slander me is nothing more than a petty trick,” Sheri said with unwavering confidence, her voice tinged with disdain. The crowd, recalling Sheri’s usual dignified demeanor, began to second-guess their assumptions.
“Sheri is cultured, refined, and a true lady. She could never commit murder, especially against her own cousin.”
“When I watched the footage earlier, something didn’t sit right. Sheri has always been gentle and elegant, but in the video, she looked monstrous, a far cry from her usual self. Perhaps she’s being falsely accused.”
“Khloe, you’ve gone too far, fabricating lies about Sheri to escape blame!”
As murmurs filled the air, Khloe’s lips curled into a mocking smile. “What a brilliant fabrication!”
She glared at Sheri, her lips curving into a cruel grin. “Naomi, stop pretending. Stand up!”
Everyone froze. The bustling chatter in the auction hall abruptly ceased, and every pair of eyes turned to Naomi, who lay motionless on the floor.
But Naomi’s stillness suggested she was beyond saving.
The crowd, now fully focused on Khloe, began mocking her loudly.

“Khloe’s lost it. She’s hoping the dead will speak for her.”
“She’s just grasping at straws.”
Sheri let out a relieved sigh, feigning helplessness as she spoke. “Khloe will stop at nothing to fight me. Now she’s hoping my cousin will testify on her behalf, even though she’s dead.”
Cara shouted, “Khloe! Stop causing chaos here. You’re the one who killed Naomi!”
Whitney’s sharp gaze locked onto Khloe, searching for an answer. She saw nothing but calm, which only made her breathe a quiet sigh of relief. Then, her disappointment turned to Henrik. “Henrik, I respected your choice. I thought if you chose her, she must be a good woman. But now, I can no longer deceive myself.”
Henrik’s expression remained unreadable as he replied flatly, “The situation isn’t settled yet. But I still stand by my choice.”
While confusion swirled around them, Khloe’s face stayed impassive as her gaze rested on Naomi. “Naomi, Sheri’s not just trying to harm you; she’s using this moment to eliminate me too. Do you really think you can stay out of this, that your family won’t be affected as long as you do nothing? You’re wrong. The moment you agreed to be Sheri’s pawn today, and the moment you lost to me, your fate—and your family’s—was sealed. If you don’t act now, I can’t promise I’ll save you next time. But I could save you this time. Think about it.”
The room fell into a thick, heavy silence, as if time itself had stopped. Naomi’s eyelashes twitched ever so slightly. In the next moment, Naomi slowly sat up, her body stiff with effort.
Blood still streaked her face, but her eyes burned with fury. She held back her emotions, her voice low. “I was foolish.”
It was Khloe’s plan for Naomi to feign death. Khloe had anticipated that Naomi would be roused.
When Khloe had seen Naomi walking back to her seat with the fat man, she had noticed that Naomi’s complexion seemed off.
Khloe could use her robot to detect abnormalities in Sheri, but Naomi shouldn’t have been aware of Sheri’s plan.
