Chapter 2373:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
After she moved away, Johan whispered to Annabel, “With so many people around, it’s better to keep a low profile.”
With Johan’s support, the journey became far more relaxed, filled with laughter and joy.
After a five-hour flight, they arrived in their home country. Miriam was waiting to pick them up. Annabel and Johan each carried a baby off the plane, their emotions overwhelming. Clutching her child tightly, Annabel felt a profound sense of homecoming.
“It’s been so long since I’ve been home. It feels really good!” Johan exclaimed.
Annabel looked at him. “When are you leaving?”

“I just got off the plane, and you’re already sending me off? Isn’t that a bit heartless?” Johan joked as he walked ahead with the child.
Annabel hastened to explain, “No, I’m just concerned about your work.”
“It won’t be a problem!” Johan reassured her.
As they made their way through the VIP passageway, they saw Miriam waiting.
Upon seeing Annabel, Miriam’s expression briefly shifted to concern, then relaxed into a warm embrace.
“You’re finally back. It’s so good to have you back.”
Miriam was so excited that tears welled up in her eyes. Seeing her good friend returning with the two lost babies made her even happier.
While Miriam was immersed in joy, she noticed the man standing beside Annabel. She couldnt really say he was handsome, but he had a gentle demeanor that made him look very elegant.
Miriam patted Annabel’s shoulder and asked, “Who is he?”
Annabel pushed her forward. “Let’s talk in the car.”
Two women and two babies were seated in the backseat. Johan sat in the passenger seat, and in the driver’s seat was Howe Lyons, Annabel’s exclusive driver.
On their way, Miriam played with the two babies, who were very well-behaved. However, she stealthily glanced at Johan from time to time.
When Annabel arrived home, she handed the two babies to the nannies. The nannies looked surprised, but she didn’t bother to explain their sudden return to them.
She just turned to Johan and asked, “Are you going home?”
Johan chuckled bitterly. “I am an orphan. Where is home for me?”
As soon as he said this, Annabel and Miriam looked at each other, not knowing what to say.
Johan stepped forward and patted Annabel on the shoulder. “I still have important matters to attend to. You two enjoy yourselves.”
After saying this, Johan left.
Then Miriam pulled Annabel to sit on the sofa and bombarded her with questions about her whereabouts and activities abroad.
“No wonder you haven’t contacted me all this time. Now I know,” Miriam couldn’t help exclaiming.
“For me, the only thing that matters is the safety of the two babies. But I always feel that something is wrong. Since the babies are back, can Rupert come back too?”
When Miriam mentioned Rupert’s name, Annabel felt as if she had plunged into an icy abyss. She struggled to hold back her tears. Miriam noticed this, so she stopped.
She stopped asking any more questions. Instead, she gave Annabel a few comforting words. Then, she returned to the company.
