Chapter 721:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
I needed to get this to Dallas and Adella before Gideon realized his Geneva ambush was compromised. I opened the heavily encrypted Vanguard application, bypassed the local jammers, and initiated a secure video link directly to the armory of the Geneva transit hub.
Adella’s POV
I stood at the threshold of the transit hub’s armory, the first layer of Alistair’s silicone already a cold, phantom weight on my skin. The harsh fluorescent lights cast long, cold shadows over the heavy weaponry lining the concrete walls. Dallas and Gamma Decker were silently checking their gear.
Suddenly, the central tactical screen flickered to life.
Azalea’s face appeared on the monitor, her dark hair whipping violently in the freezing Alpine wind of the Embassy Terrace in Geneva. “Healer Henri is secured,” she announced, her Inner Wolf radiating a fierce, apex pride through the encrypted feed. “And I have Elder Jean-Paul’s entire Syndicate data dump.”
Dallas snatched the tactical tablet from the console as the files finished downloading. I watched his storm-gray eyes, clouded and sightless from the toxin, as the device’s AI began to read the decrypted intel aloud.
Instantly, the air in the armory plummeted to freezing. His jaw clenched tight enough to crack bone as the automated voice detailed the trap. He killed the screen before I could read a single word.

He turned to his Gamma, his eyes flashing with a silent, lethal command through the Mind-Link. I couldn’t hear the words, but Decker’s eyes widened in sheer disbelief.
“Alpha, that’s a heavily fortified trap,” Decker whispered aloud, unable to mask his horror. “A frontal breach is suicide.”
Dallas unleashed a suffocating Lycan aura. “You have your orders, Decker. We kill everyone.”
Decker’s Inner Wolf trembled under the absolute authority, but he bowed his head. “Yes, Alpha.”
Dallas turned to me, his expression shifting into an impenetrable mask, and guided me out of the armory and back into the dim inner sanctuary.
He didn’t seem to notice the synthetic chill of the base layer on my forehead as he leaned down to press a soft kiss there. “Stay here,” he murmured smoothly, the lie rolling off his tongue. “It’s just a routine perimeter sweep before the Healer arrives.”
I didn’t accept the kiss. I grabbed his massive hand. Beneath my fingers, his muscles spasmed with violent neurological tremors from the silver-toxin. I knew he was lying. I had heard Decker.
“You can barely hold a gun, Dallas,” I choked out, tears burning my eyes. “You’re lying to me. You’re walking into a death trap.”
He tried to pull his hand away, but I held on tighter, my nails digging into his skin.
“If you die in that black-site,” I threatened, my voice breaking but laced with absolute, desperate ferocity, “if you leave me to raise our pup alone, I swear to the Moon Goddess, I will issue a formal Rejection. I will hate you forever.”
