Chapter 1184:

And in that silence, they melted into each other’s embrace, their hearts whispering the secrets of love.
Time passed quickly. Soon, Yvonne’s birthday arrived.
That morning, Norton was already up early, moving around with quiet purpose. He wore a white suit that hugged his tall frame perfectly—elegant, sharp, and effortless.
Yvonne blinked in surprise the moment she saw him. He rarely wore white, but that day… it suited him unbelievably well. The sharp lines of his suit, the calm confidence in his posture—he looked effortlessly striking, almost unreal.
Her birthday celebration had been simple and intimate, just the way she liked it. Close friends and family had gathered at their home, sharing laughter, good food, and warm wishes.
After dinner, the guests slowly trickled out.
Norton stayed beside her the whole time, seeing each guest off with quiet grace. When the last one left, he turned to her with a soft smile. “Yvonne, come with me.”
Yvonne nodded without hesitation, her heart fluttering with anticipation. She could feel something special in the air. He had definitely planned something.
As they walked, her mind wandered. It was probably a handbag. He always chose designer classics. But which one? She didn’t have long to guess.
“Close your eyes,” Norton said suddenly, his deep voice smooth and calm, but with a warmth that made her chest tighten.
Though confused, Yvonne obeyed. She felt his fingers intertwine with hers—firm yet gentle—as he guided her step by step. His hand was warm and steady, filling her with comfort and security.
“Okay,” his voice came again, soft beside her ear. “Open your eyes.”
Yvonne slowly opened them—and gasped.
She stood in the middle of a candlelit garden. The space had been transformed into something out of a dream. Roses bloomed in every direction, glowing softly under the moonlight. The air was rich with their fragrance, and the flicker of dozens—no, hundreds—of candles bathed everything in golden light.
Before she could fully take it in, Norton turned to face her and dropped to one knee. Her breath caught. From his pocket, he pulled out a small velvet box. Inside sat a diamond ring that sparkled like a star, catching the light of every flame around them.
Norton looked up at her, his eyes steady and full of emotion. “Yvonne… our marriage started as an agreement. But now… I want forever. I want a life we build together—real, honest, and full of love.” His voice deepened with sincerity as he waited for her answer.

Yvonne stared at him, her heart swelling, eyes blurring with tears. Emotion brimmed inside her. For a moment, she couldn’t speak. Then, slowly, she extended her hand and whispered, “Yes.”
A smile broke across his face—genuine, boyish, and unguarded. He carefully slid the ring onto her finger, the diamond catching the candlelight as if it had been waiting for this moment all along.
“Yvonne,” he said with conviction, standing up, “I promise to give you the grandest wedding.” He tilted his head slightly. “Can I hear it again?”
Yvonne laughed through her tears. “Yes, I do,” she said, her voice trembling. “And I love you, Norton. I really do.”
