Chapter 1876:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Pattie, Elvira, and Brielle, the three bridesmaids, had stationed themselves firmly at the entrance. Although the front door stood open, no one was getting through without their approval.
“Mr. Cooper, getting through this door will not be so simple. Should you not show us a little sincerity first?” Elvira folded her arms and raised her chin as she teased.
Pattie laughed and immediately joined in, “Exactly! If you want to take Maia as your bride, you have to satisfy us first. Whether you pass or not depends on whether your gift is worthy enough.”
Beyond the doorway, Chris stood in a black suit cut cleanly to his frame, tall and steady, with an air of calm composure. Behind him stood Maynard and Grayson, elite members of The Mask, together with Maxwell, who had only recently recovered from his injuries.
Facing the lively group blocking his way, the cold sharpness around Chris’s features gradually softened into a mild smile. He inclined his head slightly toward Grayson, who stepped forward at once and presented the gifts they had prepared earlier.

Chris said calmly, “We prepared the gifts long ago.”
The ceremony was held in Wront’s grandest private estate, a place reserved for only the most extravagant occasions. The guest pavilion was packed, with every seat already taken.
Chris and Maia exchanged their wedding rings, the designs simple yet refined. Then he raised his hand and gently held the back of her neck.
White rose petals drifted down around them as applause rose like a tide. Under everyone’s gaze, Chris lowered his head and kissed his bride with tenderness that carried quiet determination.
As night deepened, the bustle of the evening party gradually softened behind them. From the estate’s private marina, a yacht slipped away from the dock in silence and sailed toward the deep sea.
On the yacht’s private upper terrace, Maia rested against Chris’s chest.
“Chris, how much longer were you planning to hide it from me? Who is Mr. M really?”
Chris lifted his hand and gently brushed the strands of hair stirred by the sea breeze behind her ear. His eyes were dark and quiet, like the ocean beneath the night.
“It is me. I am sorry for keeping it from you for so long.”
“I already guessed it,” Maia said with a teasing smile, “but I still wanted to hear you admit it yourself.”
She placed the diary she had discovered in Kyle’s villa into Chris’s hands and continued, “Then here is my second question. Who is the little girl written about in this diary?”
Chris’s voice lowered as he answered, “It was you. You may not remember what happened back then, but I have never forgotten you.”
“Who told you I did not remember? I just never thought you would be that little boy.” Maia raised her eyes to his. “So, from the very beginning, marrying me was never just a temporary solution for you. You had planned it all along, did you not?”
Chris met her gaze directly. Without the slightest intention of avoiding the truth, he nodded.
