Chapter 359:.
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
The next morning, Joseph let Magnus take this whole thing to the police.
What’s more, Magnus caught the fake Poppy in a bar in N-City.
“She was planning to escape, but all exits were guarded by our men. So she was directly caught by the police as a fraudster. The police discovered her true identity. This woman’s name was Lola Holmes, a cousin of Violet’s.”
Magnus told Joseph everything from the other end of the phone. “But Violet has fled, her villa is empty now. They’ve taken all the valuables.”
“Go and tell the police to ask that woman where Violet has gone.”
“I did, but that woman didn’t say anything. It looks like it will take her a while to open her mouth.”
“Well, let’s see who has more patience.”
Joseph’s voice was cold, which made Magnus shiver on the other end of the phone.
After Hayden was untied and the Beckham Family ate, they chose from the eighth day of the first lunar month to celebrate their wedding.
Because of Hayden’s marriage to Edison and her foreign nationality, it would take a little longer for them to review their marriage application, that too taking into account the time it would take to process the divorce. So after some discussion, the two families decided to have their wedding when everything was ready.
The wedding date was made by Harrison’s choice, and Rebekah just sat on the sidelines listening as Joseph’s mother. Hearing that Hayden had gotten married, she was surprised.
“What, Hayden got married?”
Harrison just wiggled his fingers mindlessly, “That doesn’t matter!”.
Then he went on to talk about the wedding to Hayden’s aunt. “I think we can have a Chinese wedding in N-Town. If Joseph and Hayden prefer a Western wedding, we can have one overseas. It is not convenient to have a western wedding in N-Town.”
“I agree with that. I know that young people prefer to travel for their honeymoon. We can ask their opinion.”
“Then let Hayden choose it.” Said Harrison with a serious countenance, “What matters is that Hayden gets a divorce.”
Rebekah only consoled herself by thinking ‘never mind getting divorced, this is another time’. However, with what Harrison said, Rebekah’s face suddenly changed and she exclaimed.
“What? Hayden didn’t get divorced.”
The conversation was cut short. As Harrison kept snapping his fingers and said, “Stop the drama, it doesn’t matter.”
Rebekah stiffened, “It doesn’t…it doesn’t matter?”

What was wrong with the family? Or was it that she was old-fashioned?
Maybe Harrison was annoyed at being interrupted at times, so he let Rebekah take a look at where the reception will be after the wedding.
“The house where Joseph used to live is planned to be the reception venue. I know you majored in interior decorating, you can go take a look at how to decorate the house for the wedding.”
Rebekah swallowed her doubts. She took the floor plan of the house and went to talk to Hayden in the courtyard.
“I’ve found several decorating styles, Hayden, which one do you prefer?”. Rebekah showed the drawings of the styles to Hayden, “I found them on the Internet, you just have to choose the style. Then I will redesign the decoration according to the house.”
“Rebekah, it’s okay if you decide that.” Hayden touched his nose as he spoke, looking at the different styles, “I don’t understand any of that and you have experience in that. It’s better if you choose.”
“Okay.” Rebekah didn’t press her, but took two of the various styles, “How do you like these two?”
“They’re good.”
Hayden nodded her head. In fact, she couldn’t tell the differences in the two, in her eyes they were both similar
After asking Hayden’s opinions, Rebekah didn’t leave, but she did show an air of doubt.
“Rebekah, is something wrong?” Hayden asked.
Rebekah looked embarrassed. “Can I ask you something? Maybe it’s not very polite of me.”
“Please.”
“Is this society so open about young people’s love?”.
Hayden was a little stunned, then thought otherwise. He avoided Rebekah’s gaze with embarrassment. “It is in comparison to the past.”
“Really?” Rebekah frowned more tightly, “So, how easy is it to forgive the other man?”
“What?” Hayden raised his head in astonishment. “The other man?”
With a confused look on his face, he asked, “Who is the other man, Benjamin?”
“Of course not!” Rebekah’s expression changed slightly. “I don’t mean that, I…”.
After hesitating for a while, she asked, “Hayden, you’re not divorced, are you? I just found out from the conversation between my father and your aunt.”
Hayden understood what she meant and hastened to explain, “You misunderstood. I was in the U.S. at the time and married a friend so I could stay abroad. Our marriage is just a formality, we never lived together.”
Hayden explained the truth of his marriage, and Rebekah took a breath of relief, “I was so scared, I thought the world had changed so much.”
Hayden scratched his head in embarrassment, “Rebekah, I’m sorry I didn’t explain about this, it’s okay that you cared. Grandpa used to care a lot too. Actually, I haven’t divorced my friend.”
“It’s okay.” Rebekah patted his hand, her expression sympathetic, “I know how hard it is to take care of a child alone. You must have suffered a lot in the U.S. I’m sure it wasn’t easy for you to raise her alone.”
That’s why Hayden liked the Beckham Family, because they understood her. In this family there was old Harrison Beckham, kind inside, but with a cold face; Joseph’s mother, tender and kind; plus a little brother, with whom he got along well from the beginning. This family was a rich and large family, but also a warm family.
The only thing that worried him was when to talk to Joseph about the child.
Half a month before the chosen date, Hayden returned to the United States.
As he stepped off the plane, he saw Lorraine, who was in a suit, with a briefcase in her hand and her hair tied back. The briefcase was decorated with a Hermes scarf, and she looked neat and capable.
“Hello, Hayden.”
She spotted Hayden from afar and waved at her. She took the suitcase from Hayden’s hand and handed it to a male attendant standing next to her.
“Mr. Godfery was planning to come pick you up in person, but he had an important meeting. I’ve prevented him from coming, so please don’t bother.”
Hayden was fine with that. “That’s fine.”
He went back to the States to talk to Edison about the divorce .
