Chapter 1218:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Taking just a moment to catch his breath, Scar shook off some of his fatigue and returned to dodging Tiger’s advances.
“It looks like the Dark Hills might come out on top. Scar can hardly keep moving,” said a spectator from another gang.
With years of experience, everyone in the crowd could see how things were playing out.
The skills of Tiger and Scar were closely matched, so neither had an easy path to victory.
For that reason, endurance would make all the difference in this fight.
Fatigue would spell defeat for whichever fighter showed it first.
If Tiger noticed Scar slowing down, he would finally have a chance to land a heavy punch.
On the other hand, Scar’s hopes rested on Tiger losing steam so he could go on the attack.
Although to the crowd it looked like nothing much was happening, both fighters were locked in a demanding struggle.

At this point, Tiger appeared to have the upper hand.
“Ms. Morgan, from where you’re sitting, do you think Tiger or Scar will win?” asked Orlando, who had been watching Tiger chase Scar around. “You think Tiger should win, right?”
“I’m afraid Tiger’s defeat is certain, considering how things stand,” Maren replied, giving Orlando an answer he did not expect.
Unlike the rest of the spectators, she was convinced Tiger was going to lose.
“What makes you say that?” Orlando asked, unable to hide his confusion. His question had simply been a way to get Maren to agree with him, so her answer caught him off guard.
“Do you really doubt my judgment?” Maren responded with a pointed look.
Unsure how to respond, Orlando hesitated. Of course, he trusted Maren’s instincts. Still, with Tiger holding the advantage right now, he struggled to see how she could be so certain.
“Ms. Morgan, what makes you think Tiger will end up losing? Is there something you’ve noticed?” Orlando never doubted that Maren would have a good reason for her opinion.
Maren’s attention was fixed on the movements of both Tiger and Scar in the ring.
“Your observation is correct. These two are on almost equal footing, and each has their own style. But there is one point where Scar stands out.”
“Where does Scar have the edge?” Orlando asked, wanting to hear more.
“Strategy.”
Maren’s answer gave Orlando pause.
“Are you saying Scar is outsmarting Tiger? Or could Scar have set something up?”
“Pay close attention to the way Scar dodges. I think you’ll see what I mean,” Maren suggested, nudging Orlando to see for himself.
