Chapter 1237:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
One of the more stubborn seniors slammed his fist on the table. “Let them try! We may be wounded, but we’re not going down without a fight. If they want a war, we’ll give them one.”
A few others backed him up with shouts of agreement.
“Yeah, taking on the Axe Gang won’t be a walk in the park!”
The leader of the Axe Gang nodded, finding a small measure of comfort in that thought.
While the gang’s influence had faded, they still had enough power to stand their ground if another gang tried to squeeze them out. Their position had slipped, but they hadn’t vanished.
As long as the rival crews kept things civil, there wasn’t any real threat looming over them.
Right now, that seemed unlikely. The gangs in Delley had come to an unspoken agreement—major confrontations were off-limits, mostly because nobody wanted to draw heat from the police or military.
“The Axe Gang is on its last legs, but you still act so sure of yourselves. I can’t tell if that’s guts or pure stupidity.”

A masked stranger strode into the room while the Axe Gang members exchanged words, his taunt igniting outrage around the table.
“Who are you? How did you manage to get in here?” one of the senior members demanded, his face a mix of anger and disbelief.
The shock ran deep. This was their base, and they had gathered for a private meeting. Outsiders were never supposed to make it inside.
“What about our men stationed outside?”
The leader tried calling out for the guards, but silence answered back. Everyone understood what that meant—the masked man must have already taken care of anyone stationed at the door.
A single intruder had managed to wipe out all of their guards.
There wasn’t a scratch on him.
“Who are you, and what business do you have with the Axe Gang?” The leader’s voice was sharp, and everyone in the room watched the masked stranger with tense suspicion.
The masked man didn’t even blink. Under the intense gaze of the entire leadership, he strode up to the conference table and sat down like he owned the place.
“I’m here to keep your gang from disappearing. If you want the Axe Gang to stick around in Delley, you need to hear me out.” That statement left everyone gaping.
“What makes you think we should trust you?” the leader shot back.
“Don’t trust me. I’ll just head out, and you can face the consequences on your own.”
No sooner had he settled into his chair than he pushed back, preparing to leave, which only added to the confusion swirling in the room.
