Chapter 168: (END)

“Yes, I wanted to catch you. I remember giving you all the money. Why did you come back to Italy? Your daughter has been following my daughter for over 15 years. You really planned everything.”
“Rose, you are smarter than I expected. You even had plastic surgery so I wouldn’t recognize you, and then you became my masseuse. Nice plan, impressive!”
“You can kill me, but don’t kill my daughter,” Rose begged.
“I will kill your daughter and keep you for myself. You are too smart for me to let go,” Martinez Jr. said as he approached her, touching her face gently.
Kamilla was dragged in by the men outside; they pushed her toward where Sarah was.
“Oh, my daughter is here! I knew you would come to save your friend. Your heart, like your mom’s, can never be as strong as Lala’s. Lala is smart enough for me; she already booked a flight to leave us all behind,” Martinez said.
“You’ve killed their father, who else are you after?” Kamilla said. “Before I came here, I told Afonso.”
“Kamilla, why are you here? Do you think I will thank you? My hatred for you won’t end just because you’re here,” Sarah said.
“Kamilla, do you know Lala’s mother killed your mother? You don’t seem surprised. I guess you’re the one investigating the hospital,” Martinez Jr. said.
“What is my offense? Why did you give birth to me if you hate my existence?” Kamilla asked, trying to stall for time.
“I never hated you until my fake father gave you all his shares. Come on, even his biological son didn’t get enough shares,” Martinez Jr. said.
“So tell me, why would I like you?” he added.

Sarah was speechless, staring at them. She started crying, remembering everything she had done to Kamilla, not knowing that Kamilla had always been kind to her.
“I’m sorry, Kamilla,” Sarah said.
“It’s fine; just see it as me paying for my father’s crime.”
“Why will you pay for his crimes? He should pay for his crimes,” Sarah replied.
“Don’t forgive me, Sarah,” Kamilla said.
“I hated you without knowing my family did the worst to you. I thought you were jealous of me, that’s why you took Antonio.”
“Antonio is nothing to me, just a piece of trash. I heard he escaped from prison,” Sarah said, laughing suddenly.
“I don’t have time for this reunion. Sign this, Kamilla. Transfer your shares to me,” Malcolm said.
“I don’t have enough evidence to lock your dad in a cell yet. So I might not be of help to you,” Sarah warned Kamilla.
“He’s not my dad anymore, Sarah. From the day he made Lala hurt my leg even more, our relationship ended,” Kamilla said and took the paper.
“If you sign this, I won’t kill your friend,” Malcolm said.
As Kamilla picked up the paper to sign, Malcolm signaled one of the men. They dragged Sarah down to the cliff. Below them was a vast ocean leading to a road bridge.
“I will sign it, please stop,” Kamilla said, signing the paper.
One of the men then dragged Kamilla to the cliff. Since she couldn’t walk, he dragged her across the floor.
“What are you doing? Hasn’t she signed it?” Rose asked.
“You can kill me, but let the girls go,” Kamilla pleaded.
Afonso was running toward them, and they saw him coming with some policemen.
Malcolm signaled to the gang member holding Sarah to push her down. Kamilla held onto his legs as she realized what he was about to do. She bit his leg, and he kicked Kamilla, releasing his grip on Sarah.
Kamilla couldn’t keep her balance because of her legs. She rolled down the cliff and fell directly into the deep sea.
Danielle was staring out the window in the mental ward.
She was humming a wedding entrance song.
“Afonso, can we get married today?”
“I will be the most beautiful bride. Don’t worry, when Kamilla dies, we will both get married and have another baby,” Danielle was talking to herself.
“We will live happily ever after.”
A male nurse wearing a face mask entered with a wheelchair.
“Danielle,” he called. Danielle smiled.
“I’ve been a good girl today; I didn’t trouble those mentally disordered patients. So, will you give me the shot?” Danielle pleaded. The nurse removed his face mask.
“It’s me, James,” James said with a smile.
“I’m here to save you.”
“Really? It’s you, James. I thought you wouldn’t come,” Danielle exclaimed.
“I waited for you all day. Do you know how hard it was to pretend to be crazy?”
“I’m sorry,” he said as he loosened the chains on her.
“Afonso killed my father,” Danielle said.
“Yes, I know.”
“We don’t have time,” James said, hurriedly loosening the chains.
“I will make him pay!!!” Danielle said.
James placed her in the wheelchair and covered her face. They made their way to the reception, and the nurses didn’t notice since he was in a nurse’s scrub.
The big TV in the reception was showing current news.
“The granddaughter of Williams Martinez, her body has been found after a week-long search, and it is unrecognizable. Her father, Martinez Jr., has gone missing,” the TV host announced.
Seeing this, Danielle smirked and said, “I’ll be coming soon, Afonso.
