Chapter 439: (END)

“Seriously, guys, come on,” she said, smiling at them. “We’re here to make a wedding dress, not ruin the day.”
Christian pouted and looked away.
Clarisse turned to Erin. “I’m done,” she said.
“Already? But you’re not done with….”
“Don’t worry, I can sew a fitting trouser for you without measuring you, trust me,” she said confidently.
“Okay,” he moved aside, still pouting.
She glanced at Christian and saw the satisfied look on his face.
She chuckled, shaking her head. “You’re one hell of a man,” Gael said to him.
“You’re like that too,” Blue cut him off.
“Me? Like that? I get jealous, but not like this.”
“Oh really? Have you forgotten the day I was painting a man and I had to look intensely to draw him, but you made me stop, claiming that we were staring too much at each other?”
“Don’t even try to deny it.”
“But I still allowed you to finish.”
“After lots of persuasion.”
“But I allowed you.”
“Indeed, because of him, I started drawing from the pictures the customer sent,” Blue said, and they all burst into laughter.
The atmosphere lightened with laughter and giggles, and soon Blue and Gael left with Erin to get other necessary things for the wedding, where Ashley was waiting for them.
“Ugh! Finally!” Christian groaned as soon as they were left alone. He moved to his wife and hugged her tightly.
“Finally what?”

“We’re finally left alone.”
She giggled. “You’re not serious. And you don’t have to be jealous over that little situation.”
“Little situation?” He broke the hug. “You call that a little situation?”
“Yes, of course, he was just staring at me.”
“And smiling.”
“And smiling.”
“And you were smiling back.”
Clarisse laughed. “I smile at all my customers. It’s been just three months since I opened my brand; I need to be as approachable as possible.”
“Ugh!” he groaned, pouting. “At least not too much.”
“Yes, sir, I’ll make sure to reduce how I smile at them. Satisfied now?”
“Not really,” he said, still pouting.
Clarisse chuckled, looking at how adorable he looked.
“This is the reason why I’m hoping you should have a big bump.”
“No… I like my small baby bump this way.”
“But I want it to be big. It’s six months of pregnancy already, and the bump is still small. Are the doctors even sure that you’re carrying twins?”
Clarisse laughed. “Baby, you’re funny. I like my bump this way.”
“I don’t.”
“Why?”
“So that men would know you’re a no-go area.”
“What?!” She laughed harder. “But some men aren’t bothered by that.”
“Unless he wants to die,” his tone became hard and deep, breathing dangerous air.
“Calm down, baby,” she said, grinning and cupping his cheeks with her palm. “I’m yours only, and no man would dare touch what belongs to you.”
“Unless he wants to die.”
She laughed and grabbed her purse, walking away. “Anyways, I’m hoping they are girls.”
“No, I told you I want a boy and a girl,” he argued, running after her.
“Two boys, then?”
“No, I need to have a baby girl who’ll look like me.”
She laughed. “You better choose. What if I don’t give you a daughter?”
“I’ll keep trying until you give me one, then.”
She laughed so hard as they exited the building, still arguing about the gender of the twins, but the heavens seemed to have other plans, destined to make her the mother of boys.
