Chapter 3431:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Outside, the boom of confetti cannons rang out, and Savannah rose to her feet. “The time has come!”
With careful hands, Savannah lowered the veil over Elissa’s hair, her gaze filled with unmistakable happiness as she looked at her daughter. “William will escort you to the car. Your father and I will be waiting for you at the venue.”
“Alright.” Elissa took the bouquet and held it firmly in her grasp.
Stepping forward, Colleen and Emma moved to follow at her side.
Outside, a wide grin spread across William’s face as he looked toward his brother-in-law. “Ernest, are you feeling nervous?”

A soft laugh left Ernest as excitement lifted his spirits, making it hard for him to stand still. “No, not at all. I’m just excited, William.”
“Is that so?” William lifted a brow and pressed his lips together, clearly amused.
“Eric,” Ernest said, his eyes shifting toward him. Without hesitation, Eric stepped forward and passed a silk pouch into William’s hands.
William paused before accepting it. “What is this?”
“A key,” Ernest replied.
One eyebrow lifted as William rolled his eyes slightly. “A car key?”
A small smile formed as Ernest nodded. “A sports car.”
“Seriously?” William’s face lit up as he finally took it. Even though he hadn’t yet earned his driver’s license, his love for cars made the gift more than enough. Just knowing it would sit in the garage waiting for him was already exciting.
“Thanks, Ernest!” William said cheerfully, then turned and headed off to bring his sister, visibly pleased.
Behind Elissa and William, Colleen and Emma followed at an unhurried pace. A light rain fell, and as they stepped through the gate, Emma — being the taller of the two — lifted an umbrella to shield Elissa.
For today’s ceremony, they would travel by boat, a gesture meant to represent the beginning of a new chapter. Beyond the manor grounds lay a lake, calm and wide. Since Elissa had gone with her mother to Ontmond when she was young and become a citizen there, her marriage meant traveling the world and joining Ernest in Srixby. Choosing the water route echoed the journey she had once made across that distance.
At the dock, a beautifully crafted boat waited in silence. It had been custom-made in Srixby, then flown over and assembled on site, prepared solely for this wedding. Trailing behind it, two neat lines of yachts stretched across the water, each adorned with festive decorations — wedding photographs of Ernest and Elissa, flowers, and celebratory ornaments lining their decks.
At the very front of the lead boat, Ernest stood waiting, ready to receive his bride.
Even with excitement rushing through him, Ernest kept himself in check and followed the ritual, waiting patiently for William to bring Elissa aboard.
Once she stepped on, her eyes were met with nothing but elegant decorations arranged in careful, considered detail. The moment the confetti cannons fired alongside the music, a thrill surged through Elissa. Slowly, the boat glided forward, slicing through the surface and leaving gentle ripples in its wake.
After making a full circle around the lake, Ernest stepped off first. The groomsmen were already in position, one of them quickly passing a confetti cannon into his hands. With a firm twist, Ernest sent a burst of confetti soaring into the air.
Standing beside him, the master of ceremonies lifted the microphone and announced, “This union is blessed, bringing joy to the entire family!”
Another cannon was handed over. Ernest aimed it toward the grass and released it, scattering color across the ground.
“May your years be long, and may every wish find its way to fulfillment!” the master of ceremonies continued with steady warmth.
The final confetti cannon was set off, sending a colorful burst far into the distance until color rained down all around them.
“May your life be abundant, and may your love endure forever!” Music, confetti, applause, and cheers blended together without pause.
