Chapter 3432:

At the same time, Colleen and Emma moved to assist Elissa as she stepped off the boat, where a carpet had already been laid out ahead of her.
Leaning closer, Colleen whispered, “Take it slow. Watch where you step.”
“Alright,” Elissa answered softly, and with the bridesmaids supporting her, she moved forward.
The master of ceremonies announced loudly once more, “Look — here comes the bride!”
With careful hands, Colleen and Emma guided Elissa into the waiting carriage. When the thin curtain fell into place, Elissa turned her gaze toward the window.

Outside, Ernest had just climbed onto a horse and was looking back at her. Their eyes met, and matching smiles appeared on their faces. Ernest mouthed the words: I will see you later.
Elissa nodded with a soft smile.
“Come on, let’s go.” Turning forward, Ernest gathered the reins, and with a gentle cue, the horse slowly began to move. Behind him, the procession followed in order, traveling grandly from the dock back toward the manor.
At the entrance, Ernest swung down from the horse while Colleen and Emma helped Elissa step out of the carriage. Ernest walked toward her. From inside, the master of ceremonies’ voice rang out, “Let’s give a warm round of applause to the new couple!”
With a shared, knowing smile, Ernest and Elissa held on to each other and walked side by side into the manor.
Inside the hall, Savannah and Neville were seated on the bride’s side, while Nyla sat in representation of the groom’s family.
The master of ceremonies raised his voice. “The auspicious hour has arrived. Let the couple bow to heaven and earth, honoring the spiritual forces that bless this union. Next, they will bow to their elders, expressing gratitude for the care and wisdom that nurtured harmony and happiness within the family.”
With Elissa’s hand held firmly in his own, Ernest knelt beside her before Savannah, Neville, and Nyla.
“At this moment, the newlyweds may begin serving tea to their elders!”
A server hurried forward and placed the tea in front of them.
With steady hands, Ernest lifted a cup and offered it to his grandmother. “Grandma, please have some tea.”
“Alright then. Congratulations on your wedding.” Nyla’s eyes were red-rimmed, but a warm smile spread across her face.
Elissa stepped forward and took her turn. “Grandma, thank you for coming today. Please have some tea.”
“You did very well.” Nyla received the cup with both hands and took a careful sip. At her side, Kira promptly passed over a thick stack of envelopes filled with cash. “Please take these.” Nyla laughed softly and handed one to each of them.
Next, she motioned toward Locke. The nanny stood close by with little Ethan in her arms. Nyla raised her voice gently. “Come here!”
Having witnessed this part of the ceremony before at his uncle’s wedding, Locke understood exactly what to do. He gave a small nod and turned to the nanny holding Ethan. “Come along.”
“Yes, sir,” the nanny replied at once.
“Great-grandma.” Locke stepped carefully forward and bowed toward Nyla.
“Well done, young man.” Nyla reached out, gave his head a soft pat, and handed him two envelopes. “One is for you, and the other is for Ethan.”
“Thank you so much, Great-grandma.”
“Such a sweet boy.” Affection softened her expression as she praised him. “Locke, you are the eldest child in this family, and you set a wonderful example for everyone. I’m so proud of you.”
