Chapter 1177:

After the call ended, Gracie turned toward Jessie, still visibly stunned. “So… Eaton has been in love with Theo this whole time?”
Jessie’s face drained of color. “That explains it. No wonder he’s never seriously dated anyone all these years. No matter how much our parents pressured him, he always found some excuse to avoid it.”
Gracie gently patted her shoulder in comfort. “At least now we finally understand why. That makes things easier to deal with moving forward.”
After a brief pause, she added, “For the time being, get some proper rest and try not to go outside.”
Even though Eaton already suspected that Jessie had been taken away by Gracie’s people, no one had openly acknowledged it. As long as nothing was said directly, he could only act as though he knew nothing.
Before leaving, Gracie reminded Jessie to contact her parents and reassure them that she was safe.

The moment Gracie walked out of the villa, the phone in her pocket vibrated.
The call came from the temporary assistant at Radiant Technologies.
“Ms. Sullivan, we’re currently understaffed at the company. We recently posted recruitment notices, and several applicants are scheduled for interviews this afternoon. Would you like to come supervise the process yourself?”
Gracie considered it briefly before replying, “Alright. I’ll head there now.”
When Gracie arrived, the assistant immediately guided her toward the conference room. Several young interview candidates were already waiting outside.
Among them, one young man fixed his eyes on her the instant she appeared, smiling without looking away.
Gracie frowned slightly and looked back at him. “Why are you staring at me like that?”
“You’re my role model. I’m just really happy to finally meet you in person,” the young man replied with an embarrassed smile.
Gracie gave a nod. “Then do your best during the interview.”
After saying that, she walked into the meeting room.
The man slowly lowered his eyes, the faint smile still lingering meaningfully on his lips.
“Zane Moreno,” the assistant called, reading the first name from the interview list.
The same young man stood up and walked inside, appearing somewhat shy.
Gracie had not expected him to be the first applicant. “I reviewed your resume earlier. Since graduating, you’ve been working in Egodon. Why did you decide to come to Wafland?”
“I graduated this year. I only worked there for about a week before realizing the environment didn’t suit me. Then I came across Radiant Technologies’ hiring post. Even if I have to begin as a basic assistant, I still want to pursue a better future,” Zane said.
Gracie skimmed through his resume again. His qualifications were indeed impressive. “You’ll begin as an intern,” she said. “Once you pass the probation period, you can officially join the company.”
There was really no reason to hesitate. Zane’s capabilities spoke for themselves.
Zane’s face lit up instantly. “Thank you. Being able to work with my idol honestly feels unreal.”
His obvious excitement amused Gracie, and she shook her head lightly before signaling he could leave.
