Chapter 624:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Nicole’s eyes widened in shock. She’d always known Jasper as calm, measured—even gentle. She hadn’t expected this side of him. This was a man who could kill without hesitation.
Felicia gasped for air, clawing at his wrist, her panic intensifying. Her legs kicked uselessly as she tried to break free, but Jasper didn’t budge. She tried to speak, to scream, but her voice was nothing more than a rasp now.
It was Nicole’s fault—wasn’t it? That was what she’d tried to prove. Where had it gone so wrong?
Her vision tunneled. Her limbs went limp.
Then, suddenly, Jasper let go, shoving her roughly away. She tumbled from her wheelchair and crashed to the floor.
Felicia cried out, coughing violently as she struggled to breathe. Tears streamed down her cheeks as fresh pain bloomed across her body. Her wounds had reopened, blood soaking through her hospital pants and pooling on the tile floor.

She looked up, weak and trembling. “Please… help me…”
Jasper’s eyes were like ice. “I already gave you a chance to live.” The sharp, metallic scent of blood filled the room. Nicole frowned in discomfort.
Felicia’s fear was raw and real now. She could see it—Jasper wasn’t just angry. He wanted her gone. For good.
She began to crawl toward him, inch by inch. “Jasper… please…”
“You crossed the line over and over again,” he said flatly. “If you don’t want to return to Ariosa alive, then you won’t.”
Then, without a second glance, he called out, “Seth!”
Seth entered promptly, pausing for only a second at the grisly scene. “Yes, Mr. Powell?”
Jasper’s voice was calm, but devoid of any warmth. “Take her away.” His eyes dropped to the bloodstained floor. “And clean this up.”
“Yes, sir.”
Felicia struggled, but her body couldn’t handle the pain. She finally understood—there was no way back.
Moments later, the blood was gone. The room looked untouched, as though nothing had happened.
Nicole’s gaze flicked to Jasper, her heart heavy with concern. Not for Felicia—but for him. They’d come together, but if Jasper returned without Felicia, there could be trouble.
“Jasper…” she began hesitantly. He seemed to read her thoughts before she could finish.
“Bringing her back to Ariosa would’ve only created more problems,” he said coldly. “She made her choice.”
Out of respect for the ties between the Powell family and the Beckett family, he had already given Felicia a chance, but she had squandered it.
Nicole bit her lip. “But… won’t this offend the Beckett family?”
“She tried to kill you. She nearly got me killed in Fallen Elysium. She should’ve died that night when Osbert threw her out. The only reason she didn’t was because you asked the doctor to save her—for my sake. Her life was yours to give… and now it’s just going back to where it should’ve ended.”
Nicole nodded. She hadn’t expected that kind of coldness from him, but he wasn’t wrong.
“If she ever found out you really are my sister,” Jasper added, his tone softening, “she’d never stop coming after you. And I promised—I won’t let anyone put you in danger. Not ever.”
