Chapter 765:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Unaware of Julian’s stiffened expression, the nanny took Jillian’s hand and said brightly, “Jilly, he’s your uncle. Your dad’s brother.”
Jillian murmured something, her voice so soft it sounded more like “dada.” Julian told himself not to read into it, but the warmth that spread in his chest was hard to ignore. He kept a straight face and said coolly, “Where is her mom? I’ll take Jilly to her.”
The nanny, noticing how attached Jillian was to him, decided to let him handle things for the moment.
Katherine had strong faith in the nanny she hired, which allowed her to focus on her work and enjoy some personal time. Every now and then, she would unwind by chatting with her friends.
Lila, bold as ever, asked, “Hey, Katherine, how often do you and Colten get cozy?”
Outside the room, Julian had just reached the door. He stopped abruptly at those words, then silently sat down on the couch nearby.

Jillian, perched against his chest, played quietly, as if sensing his stillness.
Katherine, eyes shut in exhaustion, responded lazily, “What kind of question is that?”
Lila pressed on. “I’ve always been curious—between him and Julian, who’s got more charm? They’re twins, after all. They look nearly the same, so I figure that part’s probably similar too. Isn’t Julian supposed to be nine inches? What about Colten, maybe eight point nine?”
Effie turned in surprise. “Julian’s nine inches? Since when do you know that?”
“He told me himself,” Lila replied.
Effie said nothing after that. “Well, at least it’s not as bad as I imagined.”
Lila fell silent.
Even after all this time with them, Katherine still had trouble dealing with conversations like this. The beautician continued her work, but Lila kept pressing Katherine to choose who was more attractive.
Katherine didn’t feel like entertaining the question, so she deflected. “Got anyone on your radar lately?”
Lila perked up. “A new batch of fresh faces just arrived—completely untouched. I’m thinking of picking one. Want to come with me?”
Effie shook her head. “Not for me.”
Katherine had no plans to go either, but to steer Lila away from the topic of the twins, she pretended to show interest. “Untouched, you say? What are their ages?”
“Most of them are around twenty.”
“Alright, let’s take a look then.”
Lila chuckled. “So Colten didn’t meet expectations?”
Katherine couldn’t answer that. She hadn’t tested the waters.
Now that her facial was done, she still had time to spare. She changed out of her work clothes and went to look for the nanny.
As she opened the door, she froze. Jillian was perched on someone’s chest, giggling as she tugged at the strands of his hair.
Stunned, Katherine scooped her daughter into her arms, ready to ask where the nanny had gone—but then she caught sight of Julian. His usual cold expression made her words catch in her throat. “Why are you here?”
Julian straightened up, clearly not in the mood for conversation. “The child enjoys my company.”
